An Important Update Regarding Facility Rentals

Unfortunately, we have some difficult news to share.

Over the past several weeks, we've experienced multiple facility rentals being canceled at the last minute. While we understand that unexpected situations can arise, these late cancellations have had a significant impact on Ace'n Agility.

When a rental is reserved, we block those dates on our calendar and do not schedule classes during that time. When a cancellation comes just days before the reservation, there simply isn't enough time to add classes back to the schedule or allow enough time for registrations. As a small business, those lost opportunities directly affect our ability to cover the expenses of operating the facility.

Because of this, effective immediately, all facility rentals must be paid in full at the time of booking in order to reserve dates on our calendar. This policy will help ensure that reserved dates are a firm commitment and allow us to better plan for the facility's availability.

If you previously had rental dates on the calendar and no longer see them, please reach out to us if you're still interested in reserving those dates. We'd be happy to get your reservation back on the schedule once payment has been received.

We truly appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support. Ace'n Agility is committed to providing a great training space for our community, and sometimes that means making policy changes that help protect the business and ensure we can continue offering the facility.

New NADAC VTs on the calendar!

North American Dog Agility VT events are open to **ALL levels**—whether you’re entering your very first trial or working toward your next title!

📅 Upcoming VT Schedule
🐾 9/22 Tunnelers🕖 5:30–8:00 PM
🐾 9/29 Chances🕢5:30–8:00 PM
🐾 10/1 Regular🕗 5:30–8:00 PM

VTs are a fun, low-pressure way to gain trial experience, practice your handling skills, and earn official NADAC qualifying scores in a familiar environment.

🗺️ **Course maps are available on the North American Dog Agility website and will also be posted in the Ace’n Agility Facebook Community Group (link in bio)!**

✔️ Runs may be videoed and submitted to NADAC for judge review (tripods provided!)
✔️ FEO (For Exhibition Only) entries welcome
✔️ Maximum of 2 runs per course
✔️ No instruction provided during VT trial events
💲 $20 per run
Dogs must be at least 15 months old and registered with NADAC to submit runs for review.

TUNNEL VISION: Mastering Tunnel Skills

Tunnels are fast. Tunnels are fun. And tunnels can create some seriously tricky handling challenges. 👀

Join us on Thursdays at 5:30pm in September, for a class dedicated to navigating tunnel-heavy sequences with speed, accuracy, and confidence.

We’ll work on:
🐾 Tunnel entries from different angles
🐾 Front, rear & blind crosses around tunnels
🐾 Tight & wide turns out of tunnels
🐾 Obstacle discrimination
🐾 Avoiding off-course tunnels
🐾 Weave entries and exits connected to tunnels
🐾 Distance handling through tunnel & weave sequences

The goal? Clear communication, strong obstacle commitment, and efficient lines.

What an incredible Canine Hoopers of America mini trial!

From our seasoned teams chasing personal bests to our green teams stepping into the ring and gaining valuable experience, every single team had something to celebrate.

One of the things we love most about Hoopers is that success isn't measured only by ribbons or qualifying scores. It's measured by the teamwork, the communication, the confidence, and those joyful moments when handlers and dogs celebrate together after a run.

Seeing the smiles, the happy dances, the tail wags, and the excitement at the finish reminds us why we do this. Every run is another step forward, and every accomplishment—big or small—is worth celebrating.

We're so proud of every team that came out to play. Thank you for making it such a fun, supportive, and encouraging day. We can't wait to do it again!

😂 …Still just getting started!

The majority of people vastly underestimate the time it takes to become skilled in agility! Did you know it typically takes about 3-12 months of training until most dogs are able to run full courses?! Most teams don’t even start competing until they’ve been training for 1-2 years!

Of course, this totally depends on how much time you schedule for training, the dog and handler’s natural aptitude, and many other factors!

So, if you’re feeling behind… don’t stress! Agility is a complicated sport and we are asking for so many new behaviors from our dogs (and ourselves!)! Every team has their own pace… enjoy the journey!
