Not every pet is outgoing, and that's purrrfectly okay π©·
Some animals need a little extra time, patience, and understanding before they feel safe. Whether it's a shy cat who prefers to observe from across the room, a rescue dog learning to trust, or a senior pet who thrives on routine, I believe every pet deserves care at their pace.
With my veterinary, rescue background and years of experience working with anxious and fearful animals, I never force interactions. I let pets come to me when they're ready, using calm, gentle handling and positive reinforcement to build trust.
One of the most rewarding parts of pet sitting isn't just caring for animals, it's watching a nervous pet slowly realize they're safe.
Your pet doesn't have to be "easy" to be loved and in good hands while you're away. They just need someone willing to meet them where they are πΎ
