We're halfway through the year. Is your pet due for a wellness exam?

Routine checkups are one of the best ways to support your pet's long-term health. Even pets that seem healthy can benefit from regular veterinary visits.

A wellness exam gives your veterinary team the opportunity to:
→ Monitor your pet's overall health and well-being
→ Discuss nutrition, weight, and lifestyle changes
→ Ensure vaccinations are up to date
→ Review parasite prevention needs
→ Identify potential health concerns before they become more serious

If it's been a while since your pet's last exam, now is a great time to schedule a visit and keep them on track for a healthy year ahead.

When was your pet's last wellness exam?

Indoor cats may seem safer from summer hazards, but warm weather can still bring hidden risks inside the home. ☀️

Help keep your cat safe this season by:
→ Keeping windows and screens secure to prevent falls or escapes
→ Providing access to fresh water throughout the day
→ Ensuring cool, comfortable resting areas are available
→ Monitoring for signs of overheating, especially in warm or poorly ventilated rooms
→ Keeping toxic plants, medications, and household chemicals out of reach
→ Supervising access to balconies, patios, and open doors

Even indoor cats can encounter seasonal dangers. A few simple precautions can help them stay safe and comfortable all summer long.

As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heatstroke in pets. Unlike people, pets have limited ways to cool themselves, making them especially vulnerable during warm weather and exercise.

Knowing the warning signs and acting quickly can help protect your pet from a life-threatening emergency.

If your pet is excessively panting, weak, vomiting, collapsing, or showing other signs of overheating, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately.
