La vida es una y este mundo es demasiado bello como para enfocarse en una sola cosa. Aunque compartiré información de salud animal, también voy a compartir info de otras áreas que me interesan. Es mi página así que hago lo que quiera jaja. Otros temas que verán serán:

¡Los tatuajes salvan vidas! Esta belleza que pesó casi 100 lbs vino para esterilización hace unos días. La rescataron recientemente y no tenían su historial médico. Cuando la sedamos notamos que tenía una línea verde en su barriga que es el signo de que está esterilizada! Gracias a eso no tuvimos que hacerle una operación innecesaria (donde tendríamos que hacer una incisión bastante grande y literal buscar en su abdomen para confirmar). Digan lo que digan- los tatuajes de esterilización deberían ser MANDATORIOS! Es todo!
Tattoos save lives! This beauty that weighs almost 100lb came to get spayed a few days ago. She was recently rescued and they didn't have her medical history. When we sedated her we noticed she had a green line on her belly which is the sign that she is spayed! Thanks to this we didn't have to do put her through an unnecessary surgery (where we would have had to do a big incision and literally look inside her abdomen to make sure). I don't care- spay/neuter Tattoos should be MANDATORY! End of story!

Day 4,5...? Who knows bc I've been working too many days in a row😅 here's multiple ways to ask if a pet is fixed.

Also remember some people don't know what those words mean and that's why we are here, to help. So you can ask if they've had the surgery to not have babies.

Día 3- parasites (some of the most common we see).
Fleas- pulgas
Ticks- gaRRapatas (I know RRRoll dem Rrrs)
Ear mites - ácaros de oído
Tiene means "to have"
- Tiene pulgas. And adding the pets name at the beginning gets you a whole sentence!
Diesel tiene garrapatas.

Been MIA here, can't say when I'll be back but I'm trying 🩷 and I think is perfectly ok to not feel ok and saying it. The truth is August was HARD - I miss my heart dog every day, I lost a family member, work and life; its been heavy. So here's some pics from our anniversary trip con mi Bebesito; probably one of the few times I was ok in August.
Ando perdida aquí, no sé cuando vuelva pero estoy tratando🩷 creo que está bien no siempre sentirse bien y decirlo. La verdad es que agosto fue DIFÍCIL - extraño a mi machote todos los días, perdí a un miembro de mi familia, el trabajo y la vida; han estado fuertes. So aquí par de fotos de mi aniversario con mi Bebesito; literal una de las pocas veces que estuve ok en agosto.

Being a brave Chihuahua who is always there for their brave human who is a veteran is not easy ok! Sometimes they need an emotional support human (or 4🤭) and a pup cup or 2. But he did so well, got his vaccines updated and got a pawdicure💅🏽 This was at our last clinic at US Vets where we had the team from Care Surgery Center donate their time, skills and support. We couldn't do this without ya. Gracias for coming out to help🩷
A veces ser un Chihuahua valiente que está ahí para su humano que es un veterano no es fácil ok! A veces él también necesita un humano de apoyo emocional (o 4🤭) y un pup cup o 2. Pero se portó súper, pusimos sus vacunas al día y hasta le cortamos sus uñitas. Esto fue en nuestra última clínica en US Vets donde tuvimos el equipo de Care Surgery Center quienes donaron su tiempo, destrezas y apoyo. No podríamos hacer esto sin ustedes. Gracias por venir a ayudarnos🩷

Today is National Latina Day! A reminder that Latinas come in all shapes, shades and sizes and we are able to do it all!
Here's to more women who look and sound like me; making money, getting those degrees and taking the space we have EARNED! And doing so in 2 languages and with an accent!! Being bilingual is one of the things I'm most proud of! Y siempre, donde sea que esté, hablaré este idioma que fue con el que mi madre me crió! Y al que no le gusta 🤷🏾‍♀️ Drop your flag if you are Latina, or tag a Latina you are proud of🩷🇵🇷

Hace 1 semana te fuiste y la casa se siente vacía. Tus platos en el mismo sitio, tus camas sin mover, el mueble que no he limpiado. Y es que si amarte te hubiese salvado, habrías vivido para siempre. Llegamos hasta aquí porque te amaba; y por amor te dejamos ir. Pq ahora necesitabas un amor que te curara; y ese no existe. ¡Que muchas cosas pasamos!- nuevas casas y familia, mucha comida (que mucho te gustaba el pan!), hiking, aprendimos a correr, camping, cáncer, alergias, y tú decidir que ibas a ser el único perro.
No me imagino la presión de pertenecer a una veterinaria; y tú cogiste ese rol y lo hiciste perfectamente tuyo. Me enseñaste lo que los libros y años de experiencia jamás podrían- como se ven las alergias en casa, artritis, reactividad, PACIENCIA; y finalmente no ser egoísta- te fuiste en un día "bueno", comiendo steak y pan; en vez de esperar a que todos fueran malos.
Pero tu legado seguirá vivo- en todos los que ahora le gustan los pitbulls como tu papá, mami, mis suegros, cada vez que corra, y en cada paciente que ayude usando lo que solo tú podías enseñarme.
Te amo, gracias por ser tú y por favor recuerda lo que te pedí 🩷
