Chele's Cat Care got the call and it went like this.
A woman who lives in an apartment complex said that a cat had kittens. The cat had recently lost most of it's tail. She actually found the amputated section. The cat has a foot injury. Now here's the worst part. The cat gave birth two weeks ago and a "rescue" came and took the kittens but not the mama. Sadly, this is a common occurrence. Also sadly, the woman "can't remember" the name of the rescue!!!!!!
I would have loved to have a discussion with them to ask how they consider themselves a compassionate rescue?
Marie went and trapped the sad, overheated, injured mama kitty. When you seperate mama from kittens in this fashion, there is every likelihood that mama will develope mastitis and will need antibiotics and rest up at least 10 days before we get her fixed. She's currently at our vet. We are asking for donations as todays visit alone will cost us at least $400 for the office visit, sedation, sedation reversal, xrays and medication. Then we find out what treatment she will need which will cost even more again.

Chele's Cat Care has the storage kitty safe and sound. We will get him looked at by our vet tomorrow. I know this is one sweet cat. Very old and skinny. Very thirsty, hungry and totally sweet. We really need a spot for this kitty. As suggested we will call the storage facility and make sure that it's not their cat. Very unlikely but possible. Chele's Cat Care needs your donations.

Along with all of the rest of the rescue world, Chele's Cat Care has had the busiest kitten season.
Last week and the week before, we had 32 cats and kittens fixed. 32 fixes,snap tests and vaccines.
To add it all up, we paid roughly $5,600. In addition we had the occasional sick cat vet visits as well.
We could use your generous donations. There are so many more to fix and take care of.
The amount of daily requests for help that we recieve is staggering. We do alot, but we can't do it all. We want to do more and the only way to do that is with your help.
With your donations, your willingness to fix your pets and your vigilant attention to community cats who need help, we can keep going. Summer has been miserably uncomfortable and still, trappers are out there working hard and getting overheated just to save the lives of cats and preventing pregnancies. Please help us.

D***Y is a 1 year old with FELV. Some people put these cats down right away, but this adorable guy absolutely loves to play. He gets along with other cats and is a curious youngster! Can anyone open their home up to a tiny buddy?

Chele's Cat Care had her checked out. Her snap test is all good. She's spayed, and vaccinated and WILL love you.
We located her family and they don't want her. There are so many details that I could share if you were interested in adding her to your home.
