Guess who's home from his surgery? 💘💘💘

I held off on announcing it just in case there was another postponement 😅 But Cupid made it through and is recovering well!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to every single one of you who supported this fundraiser. Despite the surprise addition of two blood tests and a lab test, we were able to cover the entire cost thanks to our supporters across all platforms.

Any additional funds will go toward Cupid's continued care and the care of the rest of the Suncatchers.

Cupid couldn't have reached this milestone without you, and we're so incredibly grateful 🥹

Yesterday was Cupid's big day! Or so we thought...

We had his presurgical bloodwork done, and there were findings of low platelets and irregularly shaped white blood cells. The vet recommended sending the samples to a lab for further testing to determine if he can be placed under anesthesia, so we'll be waiting on those results. I spent a sleepless night mentally preparing for his surgery, but it has been postponed yet again 🫠

This was an unexpected addition to an already significant medical expense, but I'm so grateful to every single person who has donated and/or shared the fundraiser so far.

We'll keep everyone updated as soon as we learn more. Thank you for loving little Cupid! 💘

Cupid visited the vet yesterday for a checkup and consult for his neuter surgery. I kept having to postpone his surgery due to his recurring mild URI symptoms.

I'm happy to announce that he is overall in good health and received clearance for surgery! He is also growing into his deformed arms well and isn't showing any issues.

The only concern is that his adult teeth have grown in, but his baby canines are still hanging on 🦷 Which is very Cupid, as he is the little baby of the sanctuary, but we'll need to have them extracted to help prevent future complications.

While there are more affordable options available for his neuter, I'm choosing to take extra precautions because of his medical history and the need for the extractions. His exam and surgery estimate is $700.

If you're able to help, any amount makes a difference. Even sharing this fundraiser is incredibly valuable.
