Help the Brady Bunch Puppies Heal 💛

Two sweet puppies from a litter of 9 named after the “Brady Bunch” are currently being fostered by Nikki, one of our groomers and daycare attendants, and they need your support. (Fostering for Hazel's House to be specific)

At just a few weeks old, several puppies in the litter began developing weak, fragile bones. After extensive veterinary visits, X-rays, and specialist consultations, they were diagnosed with rickets — a condition that causes soft, fragile bones in growing puppies.

Because their bones were so weak, some puppies developed fractures from normal movement. The past several weeks have been filled with vet appointments, bloodwork, X-rays, specialist consultations, and rehabilitation therapy.

The good news? They are fighters. 💪
With proper nutrition, medical care, and low-impact physical therapy, they are beginning to improve. Some have even started walking on their own for the first time.

However, their care is ongoing and costly. They require:

Frequent veterinary monitoring

Diagnostic testing (including specialty lab work)

Rehabilitation therapy

Specialized nutrition

Possible surgical intervention depending on progress

How You Can Help

Donations of any amount make a difference. Every dollar goes directly toward:

Veterinary bills

Testing and diagnostics

Physical therapy

Continued medical care

You can donate in any of the following ways:

• Give directly to Nikki at Inavale (she will ensure it goes to the puppies’ medical fund)
• Venmo (Business):
• PayPal: [email protected]
• Website: www.hazelshousepdx.com

Hazel's House is searching For A Foster to Adopt Home for a dog who has stayed with us on and off since he was a young pup.

Rogue turns 1 years old on 2/23 and all we are want for his birthday is his forever home. He was born in our care and the last to be adopted! He has undergone 4 weeks of training so far and he has 2-4 weeks left. If you are interested or know someone who might be here is some information on this boy! Please share this every where so we can find him his forever place!!!!!

Rogue is a super sweet guy but he struggles with being fearful. He overcomes things with his person pretty easily with some encouragement and snacks 😉. He's in training currently to be his best self because we feel it is important! He's learning basic obedience and that life isn't as scary as he thinks. He comes with 6 free lessons from Wanderlust K9 included in his adoption fee to make the transition to your home as seamless as possible. Ani is a wonderful trainer who is there to help support Rogue and his new family. He's social with other dogs but needs proper slow introductions so we would need to do that prior to you taking him home. He hasn't met a person he hasn't liked once he warms up to you which usually takes him about 5-10 minutes. Rogue is food motivated which makes him super easy to train. He probably won't ever love being in super crowded packed places but he loves going to parks, walks in the neighborhood, and hikes! He also is a pretty good snuggler if you let him. Rogue has been around cats but we do ask that your cat is very dog savvy. Rogue is not big on kids so a home with no one under the age of 15 years old. Take a chance on this guy today, Rogue would love someone to call his own!

To give you a little more information on Rogue he is 36% Pit, 16% Doberman, 11% Pomeranian, 8% Chihuahua and a few other breeds. Rogue is fixed, chipped, vaccinated, and had a wellness exam. Adoption fee is $150 because right now all we care about is finding him the perfect forever home.
Please reach out to Hazel's House if you are interested!
One of our groomers, his previous Foster mom, is willing to do free bath/nail trims for him with us since he can be an overthinker.
Good luck, Rogue!

Due to it becoming a “Core” vaccine in Oregon recently, veterinarians have advised us to start requiring the “Leptospirosis” vaccination for all Daycare/Boarding dogs as of 5/01/2025.
(Lepto is a bacterial infection that can affect dogs, humans, and other animals. It is spread through the urine of infected animals, such as rodents, raccoons, and dogs.)
Thank you for keeping your furry friends and our staff safe and healthy!!!

Hi Inavale Family,

During this time of year, kennel cough is common anywhere that sees a high volume of dogs, and it is not always obvious when dogs have kennel cough. The most common sign is a cough when dogs get active and you typically won't hear anything when dogs are resting, but some dogs can be asymtomatic which makes preventing it that much harder. Even with the vaccination, dogs can still catch kennel cough, but we do everything we can here to prevent it from spreading to too many dogs. We clean and sanitize frequently, each dog has their own private water source, and there is no communal water source so there are fewer ways for kennel cough to spread between dogs. We can't garuntee that there is no risk of your dog contracting kennel cough while at our facility, but you are always welcome to check in with us before bringing your dogs in as we understand your concerns and are happy to help in any way we can.
