Since I am researching for my next piece (spoiler alert, it’s on color correction) and I just revisited Punch-Drunk Love. I thought I’d share this cool little thing from the archives.

Finally!!!!!! We posted our faves of 2017! Let us know what you think.

As 2017 comes to a close, we look back on the year when movies came back to life. Truthfully, this happened in 2016 but the effects of those releases were not felt until the past year; people began talking about movies again. Admittedly, we had a lot of catching up to do. We spent the last days of 2

Hey everyone! Happy New Year! Sorry for the hiatus. Hope you all had a good holiday, and hang tight for more content (our best of 2017 is coming really soon!)

In the meantime check out this interview with two huge talents, conducted by one of my very talented friends.

We spoke to the director and star of the record-breaking coming-of-age film about first kisses, prom, and writing substantial roles for women.

Just wondering; what are y’alls favorite holiday movies?

Hey everyone Maxwell Camillo Di Paolo wrote a new blog for us. He worked for us as a campaign manager and will now be regularly contributing to our blog posts. This one is about finding the style of video content that works best for you! Let us know what you think!

One of the best parts about advertising is that you get to engage with people and companies developing state of the art technologies, services, and products. It’s then our job as the advertisers and campaign managers to figure out how to go about marketing whatever they are offering.

This is incredible. One of the best directors working today, and he writes the scripts day of shooting. Shoots in order (because the script isn’t done). Actors get the script at 8am. Totally nuts.

Beyond prolific, South Korean director Hong Sang-soo has presented new films in NYFF’s Main Slate for five years in a row. And this year, he has two new movies here.

The sounds of home: a 10-year chronicle of a Philadelphia family offers a nuanced look at urban African-American life

Alright so something else from my friend Vadim and Filmmaker Magazine, but I couldn’t resist on this one. There’s apparently a huge debate about whether or not the new Twin Peaks should be recognized as TV or Film and furthermore, TV critics are getting upset that film critics are categorizing it as film. While I find this notion utterly ridiculous, apparently a lot of people do not. Here’s an incredibly well written take on it. Check it out, and let us know what you think. I would love to debate about this all day!

I'm always up for an endless debate that paralyzes my Twitter feed into repetitive stasis for 12+ hours at a time, and accordingly braced for one last night upon seeing that Twin Peaks: The Return had landed at number two on Sight & Sound's annual year-end poll. Pedantic disputes about Category Frau...

The Sundance Lineup was just announced. Pay careful attention to the formatting here, my friend Vadim spent a lot of time putting this list together. :P

Thanks Filmmaker Magazine!

In years past, Sundance has unveiled its feature film lineup a few slates at a time; this year, we get all of the features scheduled to date in one fell swoop. The lineup — 110 strong over 10 categories — includes no less than 15 projects that are alumni of IFP, Filmmaker's parent magazine, incl...
