Only one day after the Darwin’s Raw recall, today the FDA announced another Raw recall.
This one is Answers Pet Food. Same listeria and salmonella that caused the Darwin’s recall.
Bad news here is, according to the FDA, the company “has not initiated an adequate recall of the affected products”, this is obviously very disheartening. Additionally, the company did not do a voluntary recall, they were forced to by the FDA.
There are 4 affected lot numbers, please contact them ASAP if you buy this product.

Yet another raw Dog and Cat food recall.
This time it’s Darwin’s Natural Selection.
They tested positive for salmonella and listeria.
Raw Pet Food as a theory is perfectly fine, but in practice the risk of bacterial and microbial contamination is simply too high.
Every time you or your pet ingest a raw meat product, the odds of becoming sick increases by 50%.
Most raw meats carry at least one, but in many cases, multiple pathogens, and the only sure fire way to eliminate them is to heat above 165°.
If you have any of these foods in your home, there are 6 lot numbers that are affected, and you should contact them to be sure your package is not affected.
