Oreo is a beautiful young Boxer Dane mix looking for love . She simply adores meeting new people and checking out the scene . You can even find her on the Shelter Me segment 6abc Action News with Cecily Tynan this weekend .
To be this awesome of a dog and waiting so long for a home is crazy .
Oreo is open to meeting other dogs and even older kids. She enjoys rides in the car and going for walks and most importantly snuggling on a couch. Come meet her at Pennsylvania SPCA

Smokey is wishing for his forever home on this New Year's Eve, his 4th New Year's Eve in the shelter. While he's had a hard beginning and despite his length of stay, he's so resilient that he has managed to keep up his good spirits and make a lot of friends. He has made the best of his stay with us; he's learned a lot (sit, down, hand targeting and crate trained). One thing that has made it tough for him to find a home is that he needs to be the one and only pet, but he'll be one who gives his people all of his love.

MAX is one of our long timers ! He’s a really great pup who’s not fond of being in a kennel ! He is very loved by volunteers and the Lifesaving Manager at the Shelter.
He loves his walks and absolutely loves to spend time out of the kennel with his friends. He’s a middle aged pup who really is looking for a quiet home, a couple of walks every day and someone to give him some love.

Sweet Gidget is about 14 months old and as brave, smart, and loving as they come! Named after the movie character because she’s got all the personality, Gidget is a survivor. Lost or dumped, she made it on her own before she found her way into our home, our hearts. 💖

She’s a total love bug—always ready to snuggle, boop you for a kiss, or gently place her paws on your leg for some attention. (And trust me, you’ll want to give her all the pets, she's difficult to resist!) Gidget loves her walks, is awesome in the car, loves toys, dressing up, enjoys baths, towel dries, housetrained and kennel trained. She knows sit, paw, high five, down, wait and walks well on leash.

Gidget gets along great with her foster pup siblings and is eager to be by your side. Whether she's napping in the bed or giving you a sweet reminder that it’s time for a break, Gidget’s here to make you smile, she's never failed. 😊

She’d thrive in a family with older teens and/or another confident dog, and someone who can help her continue to be the best girl she can be. No long days alone for this one—she’s all about the love and companionship. ❤️

Meet BRUCE WAYNE.
He’s a totally charming pup at the shelter quite a while now looking to make his escape to a forever home !

Bruce loves his volunteer friends, loves to play and to take long walks. He’s a super walker - doesn’t pull just loves sniffing everything.

Bruce could live with children and quite possibly another dog so he’s ready to go !

After some time in Foster Cake Batter’s foster mom realized Cake was home and she made it official and adopted him!

We have so many other pups like Cakey who really need a home. Fostering really is a fantastic option. If you foster for the shelter we learn so much more about the dog and weather you end up adopting yourself or transitioning your foster to a forever home it is absolutely a win-win way to help.

CAKE BATTER is still waiting for a new home!
Our sweet “Cakey” is getting stressed - he’s waited over a year since he came back to us after his owner died.
He had a home and his owner let us know how happy he was and what a good boy Cakey Batter was .
When a family member brought him back he too said Cakey Batter was wonderful but unfortunately he couldn’t keep him
Cakey is a very energetic young senior - about 8. He loves doing zoomies and loves getting his butt scratched. He’s just a great little low rider pup.

Royal is a sweet and squishy dog living in foster care with another dog. He's waiting for his forever home, and he promises you'll get the Royal treatment if you adopt him. He's about 70 lbs and pretty low key. He came to us through Humane Law Enforcement in May 2023.

November is “Adopt a Senior” month and sadly we have many seniors both dogs and cats who are waiting for thier forever homes.
Seniors usually have lived in a home and know the drill. With just a little adjustment they do very well.
Seniors are so grateful to get out of the noisy shelter into a home
Seniors usually just need a couple of shorter walks a day and they are past the chewing stage. They love to be by their people and nap
Highlighting just some of our senior pups - each of these dogs would do so well in the right home.
