You can’t force a dog to behave—you have to teach them how to behave! 🐶 Instead of focusing on correction, try teaching your dog the behavior you want to see. Reward them when they do it right, and make the process fun and rewarding for both of you!

Breed Spotlight: Boxers

Like Gracie, our resident dog, Boxers are full of energy and affection! Their playful nature makes them a joy to be around, but it can also make training a bit challenging. Here are some tips to keep your Boxer on track:

1️⃣ Channel that energy! Boxers are high-energy dogs, so keep training sessions active with games like fetch or tug-of-war to keep them engaged.

2️⃣ Consistency is key. Boxers thrive on routine. Use clear and concise commands, and stick to them for the best results.

3️⃣ Socialize early. Boxers can be cautious with strangers, so make sure to expose them to different people and environments early on to build confidence.

4️⃣ Use positive reinforcement. Reward-based training is a Boxer’s best friend! Treats, praise, and toys will keep them motivated to learn.
