We’re honored to welcome Dr. Hilliard and Forrest Micke back for four days of Kynology this summer.
Truly… it’s a privilege to have them here, and we’re excited to open the space again and bring good people together.

If you’ve been around us, you know the vibe. This isn’t formal or stiff. It’s real, it’s engaging, and it’s the kind of learning that actually sticks. The kind where dogs start to make sense in a deeper, more intuitive way.

Expect to learn and laugh. And expect a laid-back, welcoming environment where you can just be in it. Good energy, good conversations, music in the background, and a room full of people who care about getting better, for their dogs and for themselves.

Join us for a party at the farm! Enjoy hikes, creek romps, food, photos, and the company of your OPB community.

Attend and get access to event-exclusive discounts on OPB training programs.

We’re collecting gently used gear for a community equipment swap! Any unclaimed items will be donated to our rescue partners.

This is an on-leash event - please be mindful that everyone is on their own training journey, and may need more space.

Karen Shannon of is coming to hang, and if you know, you know. Lifelong dog person. GSP breeder. Bird dog woman to the bone. Karen and her partner run Pheasant Valley Farms, breeding dogs with intention and putting them to work in real country, not Instagram country.

We’re going to talk about bird dogs, purposeful breeding, and what it actually takes to bring a working dog online for the field. Not pedigrees on paper or pretty theories, but the whole animal. Drive, clarity, relationship, nerves, and the day-in, day-out reality of living with dogs who were built to move, hunt, think, and eat all the peas in your garden.
