As the year draws to a close, I want to express my profound gratitude to my students and clients. You are more than just business associates; we share a bond akin to family, experiencing together the highs and lows, the joys and challenges. We celebrate every success and support each other through the trials and training sessions that may not have gone as planned.

Congratulations on your successful trial and personal achievements in 2025. I eagerly anticipate the opportunities and successes that 2026 will bring.

We hope this message finds you well and that your holiday season has been enjoyable, despite the recent storms. Our location managed to withstand the weather relatively well, having received 4.5 inches of rain last week. Due to the Christmas holiday and adverse weather conditions, most classes were canceled last week. This week may see similar disruptions, as rain is forecasted for most of the week, coinciding with New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Should our paths not intersect this week, I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my nose work and obedience students. The adage, "It's not all about the titles but the journey," underscores the importance of the progression from initial training to active participation in dog sports, emphasizing the significance of growth beyond merely acquiring accolades.

Congratulations to those who have successfully competed, as well as to those who have yet to enter the trial venue but have achieved personal milestones in their training.

Happy New Year! May your 2026 be prosperous, full of kindness, courage, and continued growth.

Congratulations to my nose work students for a job well done this week at various scent work trials. While everyone did not title you all had some brilliant moments and personal successes. There were quite a few pronounced searches among you as well as some what the heck moments. I experienced a couple of these myself. Purchase your trial videos and use them and the trial outcome as learning experiences. Hone your skills, practice outside of class when and were you can in a variety of environments and pat yourselves on the back for stepping up to the start line with your amazing companions. There is always another opportunity to trial on your horizon.

Marie and Lacey NW2, third place overall
