Everybody, meet Furie — 9 years old, 62 pounds, and an absolute people magnet. This girl doesn't do "polite distance." She wants to be RIGHT there — leaning on you, soaking up pets, making sure you know exactly how much she adores you. If you're looking for a dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the room, congratulations, you found her.

Furie is also secretly one of the smartest dogs in our building. She already knows a solid list of commands, learns new ones fast, and genuinely lights up when she's got a toy to work on or a game to figure out. Give this girl a job and watch her shine.

And her leash manners? Chef's kiss. Furie is attentive, tuned in, and clearly happiest when she's got a handler to follow and a purpose to the walk. She's not dragging you down the street — she's partnering with you.

The one area where Furie needs a little extra support: she does best as the only dog in the home, and can get excited when other dogs enter her space. Our Behavior Team is happy to walk any interested family through exactly what that looks like and how to set her up for success.

Because make no mistake — Furie is affectionate, playful, whip-smart, eager to please, and fiercely loyal. Now she just needs a family.

💦 We think Daphne may have discovered her new favorite thing!

This absolutely adorable 7-month-old Shih Tzu was recently rescued, and during playgroup she made one thing very clear: she LOVES water. 😂 Watching her splash, play, and enjoy herself is exactly why we love getting to introduce our dogs to new experiences. There’s something so special about watching them discover what brings them joy. ❤️

Daphne isn’t available for adoption just yet. She has already lost one eye to glaucoma and is currently being treated for glaucoma in her remaining eye, so our veterinary team is making sure she gets the medical care she needs before she’s ready for her next chapter.

For now, Daphne is busy making the most of playgroup—and apparently turning every water bowl into her own personal splash pad. 💦🐾

After six and a half months of waiting, Benjie finally found his people. ❤️

We’ve always known just how special Benjie is. Now almost two years old, this sweet boy has unique medical needs and requires a dedicated routine to keep him happy and healthy. We knew finding the right adopters might take a little longer—but we also knew they were out there.

For the last six and a half months, Benjie has been in the loving care of our incredible board member, Robbin Richards, while he waited for those perfect people to find him.

And they finally did. 🥹

Benjie’s new family traveled all the way from Connecticut because they knew this special boy was meant to be theirs.

After all this time, Benjie finally gets to go home with a family of his very own. We couldn’t be happier for him—or more grateful to the people who saw everything we’ve always seen in this incredible little dog.

Happy adoption day, Benjie. You were worth the wait. ❤️

❤️ This is what discovering joy looks like.

For so many of the dogs who arrive at Dogsville, the simple things we take for granted are completely new. A toy to toss around. A friend to wrestle with. A yard to run through. The freedom to be silly, playful, curious—and simply be a dog.

Watching that joy begin to appear is one of the very best parts of what we do. Sometimes it starts with one cautious pounce on a toy. Sometimes it’s a full-blown wrestling match with a best friend. And sometimes you can almost see the moment a dog realizes, Hey…life can be FUN. 🥹🐾

Our incredible staff and volunteers are always capturing the sweetest, silliest, and most heartwarming moments with the dogs in our care—and we couldn’t resist sharing some of our recent favorites with you!

Some of these deserving dogs have been waiting a long time for someone to choose them—some since February. Others are newer to our rescue and are still getting the medical care, grooming, and time they need before they’ll be ready for adoption.

No matter where they are in their journey, each one is getting plenty of love while they wait for whatever comes next. ❤️
