🎉🐾 Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kris to the Falcon Family Vet family! 🐾🎉

We are SO excited to announce that Dr. Kris will officially be joining our team on September 22nd! 💙 We can’t wait for our clients and patients to meet him, so we wanted to share a little bit about the newest doctor at Falcon Family Vet!

🏔️ A Colorado native, Dr. Kris was born and raised in Castle Rock. His love for animals started early through 4-H, where he showed cattle, chickens, and turkeys. Those experiences caring for and working with animals helped inspire his path toward veterinary medicine.

🎓 Dr. Kris earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Colorado State University before heading to Oregon State University, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

🩺 As a veterinarian, Dr. Kris especially enjoys dentistry, integrative medicine, and preventive care. He is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives, and we are thrilled to have him bring his knowledge, interests, and experience to our team!

🌱📚🐱 When he’s not caring for patients, you can usually find Dr. Kris tending to his garden, reading a good romantasy novel, or hanging out at home with his two Ragdoll cats, Miso and Gravy. And according to Dr. Kris, there’s a pretty good chance that “hanging out” actually means taking a well-deserved nap on the couch with them. 😴🐾

We are incredibly excited for this next chapter at Falcon Family Vet and for our community to get to know Dr. Kris!

Dr. Kris starts September 22nd, so be sure to say hello and give him a big Falcon Family Vet welcome when you see him! 💙🐾

Welcome to the family, Dr. Kris! We’re so happy to have you! 🎉

The job is not glorious, but you would get good exposure to the vet field and see what it is all about!

Key responsibilities of kennel assistants include:
- Cleaning. Kennel assistants create clean and safe spaces for pets by following sanitation and safety protocols, maintaining clean laundry, and deep cleaning equipment.

Sometimes our patients are a little too big for our normal post anesthesia recovery kennels. So sometimes they get extra cuddles in the break room during recovery instead! Even in the kennels, your pets get lots of love while they are in our care!

Pictured is our Practice Manager, Suzie, loving on Mr. Murphy after his neuter! He may not look big in this picture, but he's an 87 # Greyhound which is quite big for the breed!

We are very excited to welcome Dr. Lisa Berg to the Falcon Family Vet team! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and welcome her to the team!

Here is a little blurb she wrote:

From my earliest memories, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. I have always had a special affinity for and empathy toward animals. Since then, my commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care has never wavered.

After moving from the Chicago area to attend college at Colorado State University, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. I practiced as an equine-exclusive veterinarian in Arizona for several years before returning to Colorado and transitioning into small animal medicine. I have a special interest in preventive care and in supporting and nurturing the human–animal bond. I particularly enjoy developing long-term relationships with clients and their pets. I strive to work collaboratively with pet owners as part of their care team, providing the best possible veterinary care to help pets live long, happy, and healthy lives. From first puppy visits to assisting cherished companions pass with peace and dignity, knowing that I can make a meaningful difference is what I love most about my profession.

I continue to be fascinated by science and medicine and work diligently to stay current with advances in veterinary care. I regularly attend continuing education seminars and meetings, consult with colleagues and specialists, and review scientific literature.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I am an avid equestrian who enjoys several disciplines, particularly dressage, eventing, and trail riding. I share my life with my husband, six dogs, three horses, and Taco the donkey. Our hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, snowshoeing, and backpacking throughout Colorado’s beautiful and diverse terrain.

I look forward to becoming part of the Falcon Family Vet team and to developing new relationships with our clients and their beloved pet family members.
