**We’re Hiring A New Kennel Assistant!**
Do you know someone who wants to start working in a vet hospital? Well good news, we are looking to add to our team! We are looking for a motivated individual who would like to come work for us!
The job is not glorious, but you would get good exposure to the vet field and see what it is all about!
Key responsibilities of kennel assistants include:
- Cleaning. Kennel assistants create clean and safe spaces for pets by following sanitation and safety protocols, maintaining clean laundry, and deep cleaning equipment.
- Sterilizing. As a kennel assistant, you’ll be trained on how to properly sterilize tools in veterinary hospitals, which plays a vital role in maintaining the highest quality of care and cleanliness.
- Stocking. You’ll learn everything the medical teams need to function effectively and set up efficient, well-stocked workspaces in many areas of the hospital.
- Maintaining inventory. As inventory levels become low, it’s your responsibility to alert management and assist with the reorder process.
- Husbandry. You’ll provide comfort to pets when they need it most, while also supporting their recovery through essential husbandry tasks such as feeding, walking, and maintaining a clean, stress-free environment. You’ll get to know their cases and build meaningful bonds as they progress on their journey to healing.
Job Requirements:
- A good attitude and willingness to learn!
- Be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Reliable transportation.
- At least 16 years old.
- Available Monday through Friday in the afternoons.
