Rare opening in our training program coming available 🤗

Kalember Equine offers a holistic and comprehensive approach to training that emphasizes correct angles, balance, and biomechanics for riders—while simultaneously ensuring that every horse develops a strong foundation for long-term soundness, happiness, and well-being. A core belief in our program is that horses must be just as happy and healthy outside the saddle as they are in it.

The versatile program at Kalember Equine is designed to support riders across disciplines—whether your focus is on horsemanship, flatwork, jumping, or a customized combination. Participation in the program does not require jumping or showing; all horse enthusiasts are welcome. Training options include cross-training, foundational work, hunters, equitation, jumpers, and rehabilitation.

At Kalember Equine, we pride ourselves on cultivating a welcoming and supportive barn family. Each rider is encouraged to pursue their individual goals—without compromising the physical or emotional well-being of themselves or their horses.

Our peaceful and private facility offers year round outside living spaces for the horses.
Our beautiful barn offers stalls, cross ties, hot/cold wash rack and a spacious tack room.
We feed quality hay 3x/day.
We love our huge covered arena with lights, outdoor round pen and arena.

This groundwork absolutely transfers to ridden work. Almost a whole minute not of “me training” but of the horse going inward, letting their norepinephrine levels come down, and feeling the relief that release brings. That pathway is then built into their brain.
After many of these non-training training moments, we can go into a new environment and the horse stays aware, but their neurochemistry never rises above the threshold where I lose them.

Just like anything in life, horse shows are what you make of them.

This weekend we took four horses to a show that I’d never taken myself to a show. Our only goal: support each horse and rider in whatever way they needed.

We know them well enough to feel when we’re starting to lose them. When that happens, we don’t push—we pause, pivot, and recalibrate.

We find a moment of release, then move forward to see if it holds. If it does, great. If not, we stop again, adjust, and try differently.

We are working with two beings. Sometimes the pause is for the horse, sometimes for the rider—but either way, both need to feel safe enough to move forward and create a positive experience.

That’s what sticks. That’s what builds confidence.

This isn’t just philosophy—it’s science.

“Before we ask for better behavior, we should first understand the nervous system state that is shaping it.”
