Yesterday I said “see ya soon” to one of my very first students. This young man and his mama have become our family and I am so sad to see them move away but so excited for their next chapter. He came to me with no riding experience, no horse experience, and he has literally learned it all. He catches his horse, grooms her, saddles her, rides her and then puts her away every lesson. He’s grown so much in the last 3 years, from confidence and work ethic to learning compassion for an animal. I’ll miss you tons for our weekly lesson but I’ll see you soon!

Introducing Scarlett our – A gift that opens new horizons!

Thanks to the generous gift from the Ellis family, our program now boasts a state‑of‑the‑art Equicizer. This mechanical horse simulates riding and allows students to practice mounting, balance and reining without the unpredictability of a live horse, building core strength, balance, flexibility and confidence in a safe environment . Widely used in adaptive riding and equine‑assisted therapy programs around the world, the Equicizer offers fun, low‑impact exercises that have improved the lives of people facing physical, mental and emotional challenges . It will also let our team demonstrate how to approach, groom, mount and dismount, helping new riders feel comfortable while giving volunteers and instructors a chance to practice techniques .

We are thrilled to be one of the few centers in our area to have this incredible resource! Our students can enjoy extra “saddle time” to strengthen their bodies and minds , and those recovering from injuries or using wheelchairs can benefit from soothing, low‑impact exercise that promotes circulation and spinal health . We can’t wait to see the joy and progress this Equicizer brings to our community—thank you again, Ellis family, for making this possible!

Our Summer Camp offers an exciting lineup of activities designed for children of all ages! From horseback riding to arts and crafts, every day is filled with fun, learning, and lasting friendships.

📅 Camp Dates: June 22-25 8:30am-2:30pm
📍 Location: Petaluma
👦👧 Ages: 5 +up (must be able to use the restroom alone)
