20 year old,16hh, black, Andalusian/Thoroughbred mare

(Description and photo provided by Owner):

"Flashy, Forward & Willing 16.0hh Andalusian/TB Mare – Permanent Home Wanted

Tack Package: High-end dressage saddle, bridles, and gear available to bundle for an additional fee.

Looking for a sensitive, hard-working partner with stunning looks and a heart of gold? Meet this exceptionally sweet 16.0 hand Andalusian/Thoroughbred cross mare. Though she is 20 years young, she looks and acts half her age (8–10 years), sporting a gorgeous coat with a long, thick black mane and tail that will turn heads wherever you go.

Performance & Temperament:

Dressage: Currently schooling Training Level / 1st Level with a strong work ethic and a desire to please.

Forward & Responsive: She has more "go" than "whoa"—she loves having a job, moves effortlessly, and brings great energy to every ride.

Trail Riding: Has trail experience; does best acclimating with a steady buddy and a patient, reassuring rider.

Rider Requirement: Ideal for a confident, balanced, soft, and patient Intermediate to Advanced rider who understands sensitive, athletic horses.

Care, Health & Handling:

Sound & Maintenance-Free: Sound with zero joint injections or daily supplements required.

Hoof Care: Shod on the front feet only; has successfully been barefoot in the past.

Turnout Needs: Absolutely no standard box stalls unless attached to a large, open paddock. Full pasture turnout suits her best.

Manners: Stellar ground manners. Great for the farrier, loads/trailers easily, and lunges like a total pro.

This special girl truly loves her humans and thrives in a bonding, one-on-one environment. We are looking exclusively for serious, experienced horse owners in California who can offer a permanent, forever home where she will be cherished."

Location: California Only

"Clandestina" aka "Tina":
13 year old, 15,1hh, grey, Argentinian bred mare

*Placing as a companion, NOT a riding horse*

(Description and photos provided by Rescue Group):

"Sweet and stunning Tina is a retired Polo Pony.

Tina has striking beauty and a gentle presence.

Once a hard working Polo Pony, she came to us after an injury left her unable to continue in that sport. With rest, care and time, Tina has made a full recovery and is now sound healthy, and ready for her next chapter.

Tina is a sweet, gentle mare who loves human interaction, and grooming. She will greet you in the pasture just to say "hello" or to get some scratches.

She is easy to halter, fly mask, fly spray, and walks well on lead line and loads into trailers.

She is good for the farrier but will at times pull her foot away if she is being fussed with too much. However, she is always willing to give it back gently.

Vet treatment, vaccines, and IV's are no problem for her.Tina will stand nicely when being doctored for any wound care.

She responds best when being handled gently but in a fair/firm/kind way.

She will stand her ground if she is pushed too hard or handled roughly.

She is very willing and will try new things, but will let you know when she has had enough by walking off. She needs her thinking time when trying something new.

She communicates well with her body and has her opinion.

Tina would excel at Liberty training.

She does best with consistent rhythm in her life along with regular human interaction and connection.

She plays well with other horses. She does need lots of space around her if feeding in a herd. We feed her far away from the other horses when we feed lunch in the pasture.

Like all horses she needs time to settle when introduced into a new environment and build trust.

Tina is very playful and enjoys having mental/physical stimulation through play.

One of her very favorite things to do is play in water troughs. She absolutely LOVES water. Baths are a pleasure for her."

Tina is currently being fostered in Lake County, Ca.

"Andy Can You Hear Me" aka "Cash":
6 year old, 16hh, bay, OTTB gelding

(Description and photos provided by Rescue Group):
"Meet Cash!
Cash is a handsome 6-year-old, 16hh Thoroughbred (Racing Name: Andy Can You Hear Me) who is ready to begin his next chapter! After a successful racing career, Cash arrived at SERRA quite high-strung. We gave him six months to relax and simply enjoy being a horse, and the transformation has been wonderful to watch. He has now been in training for about a month and is doing fabulously!

Cash is much more settled, loves attention, and has become a very sweet and affectionate boy. He stands beautifully for grooming, bathing, and farrier work and is picking up new ground-work skills quickly. We have also recently started him under saddle, and he is doing very well!

Cash is looking for an experienced rider who will give him the time, patience, and continued training he needs to reach his full potential. We think this handsome boy has a lot to offer—and we can't wait to see where his journey takes him!"

New Price!
(Note: I know you have never seen me using sliding reins/artificial aids. I am using them for the beginning of this lovely mare's training, as they were necessary for Majestic to settle into, and be comfortable/relaxed with, her initial basics under saddle. She was safe, but confused. Thank you for your patience and understanding)

"Diego":
15-18 year old, 16hh, bay, Appendix gelding

(Description and photo provided by Rescue Group):
"Diego is a beautiful 15-18 year-old Appendix standing approximately 16hh. He is an exceptionally gentle horse with wonderful ground manners and a kind, willing personality.

One of Diego’s special talents appears to be liberty work. He truly enjoys it, and our liberty trainer absolutely loves working with him. Diego is attentive, engaged, and seems to have a natural affinity for this type of partnership. If you are looking for a horse to explore and develop a connection through liberty, Diego could be an amazing partner.

Diego also appears to have had training in the past. He lunges beautifully and seems to understand what is being asked of him. We have introduced him to a ba****ck saddle, which he accepted comfortably. At this point, however, Diego has not welcomed a rider on his back. Because we wanted to rule out any pain issues, we had his back X-rayed and nothing was apparent. It is possible that Diego may have had an unpleasant experience with riding sometime in his past, although we do not know his history.

For now, we believe Diego will thrive with someone patient and experienced who is willing to continue building his trust and confidence—or with someone interested in developing his considerable potential as a liberty partner. Diego is a gentle, beautiful horse with so much to offer, and we are excited to find the right person who will appreciate him for who he is and help him continue to flourish."
