National Hug Your Cat Day. Today is to honor the special bond between humans and their feline companions. It is a dedicated day to shower cats with extra affection, cuddles, and treats, acknowledging the joy and companionship they bring to our lives.

According to the FDA, Listeria monocytogenes was detected in all unopened product samples tested by state laboratories. Several samples also tested positive for Salmonella and Campylobacter jejuni. The testing was initiated following a consumer complaint involving a dog illness.

The expanded recall includes all Raaw Energy dog food products manufactured between July 17, 2025, and December 23, 2025, as well as one lot of Beef and Turkey Medley manufactured on March 31, 2026.

The FDA also reported receiving additional consumer complaints involving illnesses in animals that had consumed the recalled products.
