Ticks can transmit serious diseases to cats through a single bite. While Lyme disease is the most well-known, cats can also develop illnesses such as anaplasmosis, tularemia, cytauxzoonosis, and other tick-borne infections.

⚠️ Common symptoms include:
• Fever
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy
• Weight loss
• Joint pain or limping
• Difficulty walking
• Anemia (pale gums)
• Jaundice (yellowing of eyes or gums)

In severe cases, tick bites can even cause tick paralysis, a potentially life-threatening condition.

🐾 The good news? Many tick-borne diseases can be treated successfully when caught early, usually with antibiotics and supportive care. However, there is currently no vaccine available for cats.
