Surgeon update:
 I have had two injections in my thumb in the past, but had to have a third one today from this surgeon before he will do surgery. I have a follow up appointment in three months on December 2. If this shot did not help as the last two did not then we will schedule surgery in December for a joint replacement of my left thumb. If it does help, then we will just do repeated injections into the left thumb as needed no more than every three months. I cannot have surgery if it does not help until three months after the injection though because it takes three months for the steroid injection to make its way out of the system, and they cannot do a joint replacement until that steroid injection has worked its way out. So even if the shot does not help, I cannot have surgery until at the earliest December. So if the shot does not help, I will do my very best to make it until December without having to takeoff. But it has been very tough lately and I’m having a very hard time grooming. I am going to do my level best to continue until this gets better and I’m going to pray that this injection will help this time.

So, for right now, all appointments will stay as made and we can continue to make appointments up through at least December and I will keep y’all updated as we go. Thank you for your patience and understanding and even though it has been hard to groom, I will do my best to make your pups look the best I can. There may be a few times or a few things that I’m not able to accomplish just because my hand won’t cooperate with me, but I’ll try not to make that habit.

Walter (the Shih Tzu) got a partial haircut today. But he just was not feeling it so he only got a partial trim today. He has been getting harder and harder to give a haircut too so he was very stressed today and we did not want to push him over his limit. So picture was out of the question. Will try again next time.
