PASA is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting our small-town animal shelter through on site volunteer efforts, community advocacy, and fundraising to improve the lives of shelter animals in our town and help them find their happily ever afters.

This is a post months in the making! Local celebrity community dog ā€œGeboā€™s girlā€, now dubbed Gigi, has been caught and is now safe at the shelter. Gigi had spent months hanging around Geboā€™s. Several places helped take care of her by leaving her food and water, but no one was able able to catch her. Over the last few weeks, Gigi started moving into busier areas of town and became even more at risk of being hit by a car as she crossed busy roads. She was called in multiple times by concerned citizens showing where she was spending most of her time and our animal control officers were able to find a safe place to set a humane trap. Less than 24 hrs later with the help of yummy hotdogs and some lunch meat, Gigi was secured and is now settling in at the shelter. Now that she is safely off the streets, the next step will be finding her a loving forever home! Stay tuned for updates on this sweet lady!

Update: reunited with owner!
These 2 adorable hooligans were hanging out at Perryton National Bank (possibly planning a bank heist!? šŸ˜œ). Instead of making off with any loot, they instead find themselves arrested by our animal control officer and are headed back to the shelter. Meet Hank! Hank is good a lots of thingsā€¦.being adorable, playing with other dogs, snuggling, being a goofy teenager, etc. He is not however great a being Americaā€™s Next Top Doggie Model. ~1 million pictures later and here we are. Not bad, but we promise he is sooooo much cuter in person! Hank is ready trade in his attempted model days in favor of a forever home. We know he will be an amazing addition to a person/family looking for a young adult (~ 9 mths old), medium energy (for a teenager), dog social dog that loves people and wants to please them. Hank is about 40 lbs and wonā€™t get too much bigger. We believe he is catahoula mixed with possibly Aussie or border collie. Whatever he is, heā€™s pretty perfect! This precious little senior lady was just picked up by one of our animal control officers at the 500 blk of S Elm. She has to be someoneā€™s baby and we so want to get her back home to her people. Our 2 longest stay shelter pups had a little impromptu photo shoot today. Who do you think was the better modelā€¦Pumpkin Spice (blonde and white girl) or Buddy (big brown boy)? Weā€™d love for you to tell us your answer below!
