Hi friends, we will be open 1-5 today.
Reminder that ONE adult per household is allowed inside the pantry to shop. If you have other family members or friends with you, they must wait outside.

A lot of our shoppers come in groups whether it is with your other household members or you are carpooling with friends. You all know our space is very small and it gets chaotic and overwhelming fast. Which is exactly how people were able to steal our cash box. People have also been known to talk a volunteers ear off as a distraction while the other person is taking extra food off the shelves. I'm not dumb and neither are my volunteers. I just choose not to confront people in those situations because it's simply not worth the hassle.

This is the simplest and easiest solution to the problem. We have shopping carts now so carrying out groceries to your vehicle will only require one person.

As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone out there who donates or just helps spread the word about our pantry. And thank you to our shoppers who come in and are respectful. I don't do this for praise. While appreciated, it makes me feel weird, lol. All I ask for is kindness and respect while you are here. I would say 98% of our shoppers give that. It's just been a handful of idiots that are making things difficult. But I am in a much better headspace today than I was a week or so ago. I've had time to calm down from the three weeks of stress from all the bs and I've had time to think about the future of the pantry. These losers of the world have not chased me off yet. I look forward to July when we will close for the month. We will be doing a small renovation and rearranging of some things in the pantry to hopefully make things even smoother.
