☣️TOLEDO PET PARENTS☣️

Please keep your animals in mind today as we deal with the aftermath of the chemical spill in North Toledo last night!

*Possible* (but not confirmed) chemical is Methyl acrylate, a clear, colorless organic liquid with a sharp, acrid odor.

If you are sheltering in place, please remember to limit your animals outside time to the absolute bare minimum, to none at all.

If you or your animals are experiencing any symptoms, please get help immediately.

• Itchy throat/eyes
• Difficulty breathing
• Headaches/dizzyness
• Lathargy/weakness

How can I protect me and my pet?

• stay indoors
• close all windows
• place wet cloths on any areas smoke may seep through (door cracks, window gaps)
• turn off all exterior housed hvac systems (use interior air circulation options)
• stay on a high level (vapors are dense and will settle on lower floors of your home)

We are wishing everyone the absolute best in this situation. Stay calm, think smart, and come up with a plan of action to stick out the rest of the situation!

I love this!

We have a new class that will be one of the most useful classes you will ever take with us! It is our Cooperative Care Class.
What is it, you ask? It is a class designed to make your dog’s veterinary experience easier. We will teach skills such as a chin rest; we will practice doing physical exams, using a stethoscope and otoscope; simulated injections for vaccines and blood draw and we will also practice restraints. You also receive a package to take home that includes all of these tools and a licky mat.
This class starts Tuesday October 20th at 7:15 pm x 5 weeks.
