NEW ROUND of Group Beginner Obedience Class starting Wednesday 05/13 at 6:00 pm!

Our new round of Beginner Obedience Class, "Patio Weather" edition, will start next Wednesday and will run for 6 weeks. This class is suitable for dogs 6 months and up. Exceptions apply, contact us if you would like to know if this class is suitable for your pup.

The class will cover basic obedience commands, real world scenarios, and confidence building exercises. As always, reactive and fearful dogs welcome! Our team of experienced working dog handlers is here to help.

Cost: $250 for the 6-week class
Location: Amstel Acres LLC indoor arena OR the Amstel Training Center (weather permitting)

This just makes me so happy 🥹 Does everyone remember Teddy, the 11yo NYC junkyard Malinois? He came to us with some pretty serious dog reactivity issues. After attending our class and learning to make better choices, Teddy has decided it might not be necessary to come out of the gate swinging all the time. Here he is enjoying a nice walk in the woods with a friend. We’re so happy we could make his life (and that of his fosters) a little bit better 💜

That’s a wrap for the Amstel K9 Beginner Obedience Class, “Ready for Spring” edition! We are so proud of all of our graduates 😁 We didn’t capture everyone but look at all these proud pups 💜 If you missed this round, no worries! The next round is coming up soon.

Happy 1st birthday Naafiri! 🥳🎉🍾 ‘Firi was trained by Amstel K9 as a security K9 and currently works in the capitol area. He is also training for his explosives detection certification. We are incredibly proud of how much he has already accomplished and are excited for his future! 💪🏼 Many thanks to his owner for sharing these awesome pictures with us 😁
