Funny how Roger Odom remembers how fast this mare was 🙊 We found an old text message about that very thing !!

Oh my Dorminy Plantation the memories of this one as a young well bred barrel horse are filling our feed right now! 😍

🌈 Rainbow Level is a special introductory level designed for very young childrenwho are not yet able to ride and care for a pony independently. These students ride on the leadline, or with a “Ground Buddy” walking close by, to ensure their safety and control. This Level includes basic horse knowledge and horse care concepts, emphasizing the importance of unmounted education for all ages.

Rainbow Level is appropriate for students who are too young to participate in a regular lesson program. It can also be used for students of any age who need extra assistance, or who may appreciate a simplified approach to introductory horsemanship.

Fall at the barn always feels like a fresh start.
New goals, new routines, familiar horses, growing riders, and a whole lot of learning ahead.
At Charlie Horse LLC, we’re excited for a season focused on structured lessons, Western Performance, horse care, confidence, and building the kind of riders who understand the horse — not just the ride.
Welcome back to the barn.

Meet Rip.

Rip is an 18-year-old, 15.2 hand Quarter Horse gelding who has joined Charlie Horse LLC as a future lesson horse.
Right now, his job is simple: settle in, get stronger, enjoy good care, and take his time before stepping into a regular role.

He has a kind nature, a quiet presence, and we’re hopeful he will become a special part of the lesson program when he is ready.
Good horses deserve time.
