Chestnut Hollow Farm, located in beautiful Bedminster PA, has a stall available in our main barn. Come join our fantastic group of boarders and enjoy our top notch care and amenities. The main barn offers 12x12 deeply bedded stalls, two wash stalls, a heated and air conditioned tack room and attached indoor with sand/fiber footing and two walls of mirrors in addition to a large outdoor ring. Care is provided by an experienced, professional staff and our all adult boarders ride in a variety of disciplines. We do not have an in house trainer or lesson program, and insured outside trainers are welcome. We provide ample grass turnout in small groups, a customized feed program based around Triple Crown products, and plentiful hay in slow feed hay nets. We also offer trailer parking, laundry service, stall fans and reasonable blanket changes at no charge. Full care board at the main barn is $950.

We also have a unique opportunity for retirement board at an adjacent facility. This farm is a private residence and has one stall available in a charming renovated bank barn. This farm houses a tenant, so this stall is offered only to a fully retired horse whose owner wants the best of care but is not able to be involved with day to day needs. All routine appointments and care will be scheduled and managed by CHF staff, and your equine friend will have the company of two very kind retired geldings, large grass fields and as much turnout as possible. Full care retirement board is $750.

When it comes to horses, there’s always more to learn! We were so pleased to be the venue for Forward Thinking Equine Veterinary Services and Bartek Equine LLC yesterday as they hosted so many of our local farriers for an afternoon of education and conversation. Events like this are incredibly valuable to our community of equine professionals and we hope to be part of more in the future!

CHF has field/retirement board available! Perfect situation for a retiree or horse that needs a relaxed outdoor life. Large grassy field with multiple matted run in sheds, heated water trough and large square bales in winter, and access to all our other amenities. Strong preference for barefoot geldings who can keep their wits about them if pasture mates are brought up to the main barn.

ISO part time barn help! CHF is looking for another set of hands to help me take care of our fantastic group of boarders. Position entails general barn work for 25 horses, turn in/out, feeding, filling haynets, laundry, general tidying of barn and tackroom, dragging rings, filling water troughs etc, but NO STALL CLEANING. Ideal schedule is 1 full weekday, 1 weekday AM and availability for night check/night turnout 3 nights per week but I am willing to be flexible for a great fit. Horses are well behaved and respectful, boarders are absolutely top notch. Barn cats will give you a harder time than the people will.

Can be a paid position or work for reduced rent on a charming 3br/1.5 bath farmhouse on an adjacent property. I currently do not have availability for a stall but bringing a horse is a possibility in the future. Chestnut Hollow Farm’s main barn will have a stall available 8/1. In beautiful Bedminster PA, we are the ideal location the the adult amateur rider who wants the care of their horse to be paramount without being in a structured training program.

We offer a large indoor with LED lighting, sand and fiber footing, 2 walls of mirrors, a spacious outdoor ring, deeply bedded stalls, all day or overnight turnout depending on the season, ample hay and a flexible feed program. Other amenities include a heated tack room during winter months, multiple wash stalls, Wi-Fi, trailer parking and laundry services. Our clients are a close knit, supportive, fun group of adults in multiple disciplines ranging from dressage to hunter/jumper and pleasure riding. Outside trainers are welcome.

Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt…

And the time has finally come for me to admit that after 4 years I am losing my right hand at CHF, my rock, and the best assistant I could have ever asked for as Kelby Bolton realizes her dream of having her horses at home.

I’ll be looking for someone to fill her position, with a flexible start date but ideally by August 1. The perfect candidate would be a responsible adult with plenty of horse experience who would board with us, be part of the barn family and is available to work approximately 15 hours (including one full day) and 2 night checks per week. I would prefer a work off board situation, but can be a paid position for the right person. Duties include turning in/out, feeding, hay, administering medications, horse mom hand holding on an as needed basis, being bullied by my barn cat mafia, and other general barn chores but NO STALLS. Let me repeat…NO STALLS. Special consideration given to anyone who really enjoys dragging a ring or setting a jump course, as I am abysmal at both. My management style is fairly hands off so a self starter who can work without me hovering is also a big plus.

We are an all adult, multi discipline barn with a very friendly, positive group of boarders and 20+ pleasant, easy to handle horses (no really…they’re all nice!). I’d like to find someone to work closely with me long term as we continue to grow.

Our 100x200 indoor with sand and fiber footing and 210x165 outdoor ring with a full course of jumps make riding in any weather a breeze, trail riding at Lake Nockamixon is a short hack away, and a quick 15 minute drive will let you enjoy the Bucks County Horse Park. We also offer a heated tack room during the winter months, on site laundry service, and convenient trailer parking. In the 691 days since CHF became a reality, I have learned to be thankful for so many things. Sleep, showers, foot warmers, a full hay shed, and my favorite cashier at Wawa are all near the top of the list. But I am most thankful to be surrounded by some of the most amazing people in the horse business. Jessica Levin, Sylena Bettler, Kelby Bolton, and Sherri Corlett...thank you for your hard work, the endless laughs, and keeping me sane. Rachael Levine, Yancy Russell and Jess Kulp...thank you for keeping our horses sound, happy, and healthy. I appreciate you all more than I can say.
