Here are some simple tips to help set those boundaries:

🚫 Set Clear Rules
Decide what’s off-limits (couch, bed, chairs) and make sure everyone in the household sticks to the same rules—no mixed signals!

🛏️ Provide a Better Option
Give your dog their own cozy bed nearby. Make it inviting with soft blankets or a favorite toy so they want to use it.

🦴 Reward the Right Choice
When your dog chooses their bed over the furniture, praise them and offer a treat. Reinforce the behavior you want to see!

👀 Supervise & Redirect
If you catch them climbing up, calmly guide them off and direct them to their bed. Avoid yelling—stay consistent and calm.

🔁 Use a Command

Here are some simple tips to help your pup become the perfect host:

Work on basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “place” ahead of time so your dog understands what’s expected.

🚪 Control the Door
Have your dog sit and stay before opening the door. If they break position, close it and try again—consistency is key!
