Help me find Stella a home!

In June one of my vets called me asking if I had room to take in a foster and train. After chatting back and forth a bit and meeting her, I decided we could give it a shot! She is an owner surrender that Castle Rock Pet Doc and I are collaborating on to get her into a better spot.

Stella is a 3y old Doberman that has a complicated back story. She was sold from a “breeder” to Pratts Pets with a fractured growth plate in a rear leg. An employee “rescued” her and three years later here she is. Since I have picked her up, she has been in training. Stella is on and off leash trained in basic obedience and has nice general house manners with a beautiful off switch. She behaves while on walks and has handled pet stores and hardware stores well. Although she has been good with my Papillon, I am recommending she goes into a new home as the only dog or one that doesn’t have small dogs or cats due to her high prey drive.

Stella is a Doberman through and through, the complete package with antics included. That also means she has a decent energy level, with a nice food drive to boot. She is very handler focused and engaged, and really enjoys working and learning! She doesn’t need to go into a working level home, but she will thrive best with daily training / activity. *This is not the type of dog that you need to revolve your life around to completely satisfy her needs.*

She is current on vaccines and spayed.

If interested, she comes with free handling sessions so the new owner/s can learn all of her fancy buttons and how to manage her but they are not mandatory.

There is a small rehoming fee to ensure she goes somewhere safe.

Located in Litchfield Park AZ.

*** Peppa has been adopted! ***

Meet Peppa!

She is a 2y old spayed Doodle in need of a new home. Life circumstances have pushed her owners to make the difficult decision to find someone that can provide more time for her.

She is fully on leash trained and ecollar conditioned (owners never went through an off leash program).

She was with me for a short time and was excellent with other dogs during her stay and friendly with everyone. She has a good amount of energy so she would need to go to someone willing to physically and mentally stimulate her.

There is a small rehoming fee and I am happy to provide free handling sessions to the new owner.

Please reach out to me here and I will put you in contact with her owners.

Want your dog to be more confident in the pool? Or, maybe they don’t know how to swim at all? I can help!

In Arizona, swimming is a great way for your dog to get some exercise during the hot months! Don’t wanna go to a swim instructor? Great! I come to you!

*Disclaimer*
All dogs can learn how to swim but not all dogs will love swimming.

I swear he got the toy after this 😂

Dash is with me for a couple of weeks to help with some dog reactivity. He has seen multiple trainers in the past who have actually done a really nice job with him, but fell short when it came to including mom in the process. I see it all the time, people send their dogs off to training but never have any one on one handling sessions to learn all of the new buttons their dog just received! And it’s not the owners fault (y’all don’t know any better and are trusting the pros through this). Training is only one piece of the process, follow through determines the amount of success each client will experience which heavily depends on whether or not the client is taught how to properly manage their dog once they return home.

Most of the time when I get a re-train, the dog is a mess. This is not the case with Dash. The only reason he is in boarding is due to his mom’s incredibly important job that makes consistency in the beginning stages a little more difficult. Which is one of the many reasons I offer board and trains in the first place.
