👑 ALL HAIL THE BIRTHDAY QUEEN! 🦁

It's a BIG birthday at Peoria Zoo! Our African lion, Lizzy, is officially 20 years old today! 🎉

As one of the original residents of our Africa exhibit, Lizzy has been a familiar face to generations of Zoo visitors. Reaching 20 years old is an incredible milestone for a lion, and we're so excited to celebrate this special day with her!

This milestone is also a wonderful opportunity to recognize the dedication of our animal care team. The attentive, individualized care, enrichment, and commitment our keepers provide every single day play an important role in supporting Lizzy's health and well-being as she ages. ❤️

Our birthday girl has some special enrichment planned for the occasion, so stop by Peoria Zoo today and join us in wishing Lizzy a very happy 20th birthday!
