🦋✨ Monarch Day is happening tomorrow!

Flutter over to Peoria Zoo and celebrate the amazing monarch butterfly! Discover their incredible migration, learn why monarchs and other pollinators are so important, and explore ways we can help protect them.

Ever wondered what it's like to see a rhino up close? 👀🦏

Breakfast with the Rhinos takes you beyond the public viewing areas for a special look at Arthur and Mwezi's indoor space and an up-close perspective you won't get during an everyday Zoo visit.

Your morning also includes breakfast, plenty of rhino knowledge, and the chance to support rhino conservation while you're at it. Proceeds from this special experience benefit conservation efforts. 💚

☀️ One last weekend for some of your summer Zoo favorites!

Looking for something to do over the long Labor Day weekend? Make a trip to Peoria Zoo and squeeze in a few seasonal experiences before they wrap up for the year! 🦒🐐🐾

Labor Day weekend is your last chance this season to:
🦒 Feed a giraffe during our daily Giraffe Feedings, every day at 12 & 2 PM
🚶Walk with the wallaby through the Australian Walk-About
🐐 Brush, pet, and pamper the goats at the Bleat Retreat
🌄 Enjoy extended evening hours during our last FriYAY of the summer

These seasonal favorites may be wrapping up after Labor Day, but don't worry, Peoria Zoo is open year-round! There's plenty more to see and do all fall long. 🍂

🐾 We’re Hiring! Commissary Keeper (Part-Time) 🥕

Ever wonder what goes into preparing meals for the animals at Peoria Zoo? Here’s your chance to be part of it!

Our Commissary Keeper works behind the scenes to prepare animal diets, keep food and supplies stocked and organized, and maintain clean, safe food preparation and storage areas.

🥕 Help prepare diets for animals throughout the Zoo
📦 Manage food, supplies, and inventory
🐾 Support the daily care of our animals

This is a part-time position at $16/hour. One year of experience caring for wild and/or domestic animals is preferred.

We were so happy to help kick off Zoo Week at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois! 🦏💚

Our education team, animal ambassadors, and Crash the Rhino had such a wonderful time bringing a little bit of the Zoo to these kids and families. Thank you for letting us be part of such a special week! 🐢🐸
