🐾❤️ HAPPY NATIONAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK! ❤️🐾

This week, we are celebrating some of the absolute BEST veterinary technicians in Pensacola, and we couldn’t be more proud to call them part of our Spanish Trail family! 🐶🐱

Our incredible technicians are the heart and soul of our hospital. They are the ones behind the scenes comforting your pets, offering gentle hands and reassuring love when you can’t be there.

They are the ones holding the hand of a heartbroken pet owner saying their final goodbye to a beloved family member, only to turn around moments later and rush to assist with a procedure or care for another patient.

They skip lunches, stay late, juggle a hundred responsibilities at once, and somehow still manage to provide exceptional care to our patients and clients. They are constantly on the move, solving problems, keeping things running smoothly, and, of course, keeping us doctors in line! 😂❤️

Veterinary technicians have one of the toughest, most physically and emotionally demanding jobs out there. Their compassion, dedication, patience, and hard work often go unseen, but they NEVER go unappreciated.

The truth is, we simply could not do what we do without these amazing humans and we are incredibly lucky to have them.

🐾 So, if you see one of our wonderful technicians this week, please take a moment to tell them THANK YOU! They deserve every bit of recognition, appreciation, and love we can give them.

🎉🐾 WE HAVE POWER! WE’RE BACK! 🐾🎉

Great news, Spanish Trail family! Our power has been restored, and we are excited to announce that Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital will reopen tomorrow with normal business hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM! 🏥🐶🐱

🐾 Boarding services will also resume as normal!

As we get back into the swing of things after being closed for several days, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. We anticipate a busy day and may be operating with a smaller team than usual as some of our staff continue to recover from the storm.

🐾 HURRICANE UPDATE: GOOD NEWS FROM SPANISH TRAIL! 🌀💙

We are happy to report that Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital weathered the hurricane very well! 🙌

While we did experience a few downed trees and some fence damage, our hospital building is in excellent condition! Even better, our few boarding guests are all safe, happy, and enjoying the cooler weather! 🐶🐱🍃

⚡ We are currently still without power, but we will provide another update tomorrow regarding our operating hours for Monday.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support as we navigate the aftermath of the storm.

💙 Most importantly, we hope all of our Spanish Trail families, both two-legged and four-legged, made it through the storm safely!

🌪️ TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS UPDATE 🐾

The safety of our patients, boarding guests, and dedicated staff remains our top priority as we prepare for Tropical Storm Isaias.

🏥 HOSPITAL HOURS

* Friday: Closing early at 12:00 PM to allow our team members who live farther away to travel home safely.
* Saturday: Hospital CLOSED.

🐾 CARE FOR BOARDING PETS

On Friday, staff members who live nearby will remain at the hospital as long as conditions safely allow to care for our boarding guests.

On Saturday, our team will return to the hospital as soon as weather and road conditions permit to ensure our boarding pets receive the care they need.

For clients choosing to board their pets with us this weekend, our team will contact you to complete a Hurricane Boarding Waiver.

📅 BOARDING PICKUP & DROP-OFF SCHEDULE

FRIDAY
All boarding pets must be dropped off or picked up before 12:00 PM.

SATURDAY

* No drop-offs.
* Pickups available ONLY from 4:30–5:30 PM, weather permitting.

SUNDAY

* No drop-offs.
* Regular pickup hours will resume, weather permitting.

🌀 TROPICAL DEPRESSION 9 UPDATE 🌀

We are closely monitoring Tropical Depression 9 and any potential impacts to our area. As we prepare, we want to make sure our patients, clients, and boarding pets are taken care of and everyone has plenty of time to plan ahead.

💊 Medications
We strongly recommend refilling any storm anxiety medications and regular daily medications now in case severe weather requires us to close for a few days. Please don’t wait until the last minute!

🐾 Boarding Pets
We will continue boarding pets during storms up to a Category 1 hurricane. If conditions are expected to exceed Category 1:

• All incoming boarding reservations will be canceled.
• Pets already boarding with us will need to be picked up by their designated alternate/emergency contact.
• Staff will not remain at the boarding facility during extreme weather. Once conditions are safe, team members will return to walk, feed, and care for any pets as appropriate.

The safety of our patients, clients, and team will always be our priority. We will continue monitoring the storm closely and provide updates if our hours or services need to change.
