Pro Tip: 💡 💡
Does your pup gnaw on their paws? Are they red and bothersome?
You are not alone. Tis the season for allergies, bacteria, yeast, and infections!
Before racing off to the vet for expensive prescriptions, try this first:
*EPSOM SALT*
There are many ways to do this, but choose the one that works best for you and your pup.
The paws need to soak in warm epsom salt water. 1-2 times per day until healed. I use about 1 TBSP per cup of warm water. Rinse very thourougly. 5-10 minutes should do it.
You can put a small amount in the tub, sink, or a container. I personally got on the floor with Daisy with a small plastic dish, and a washcloth and just soaked for a few minutes on each foot. Then got a dish of clean water to dunk her foot in and rinse. I was not about to put her 55 pound body in the tub twice per day lol.
After I did this just a few times it cleared right up. It was amazing and she never needed medicine.
Make sure to keep the pups paws dry as much as possible. If you try this several times with no luck then vet care is most likely needed. Especially if it becomes severe.
