Ms. Uraa is having a BLAST during her first vacation with her new family. She was spayed earlier in May, recovered here, and then went to an amazing family for her retirement. It is videos like this that make it just a little easier to let them go. What a wonderful retirement she is having! Thank you for sending this to me Chris and Amanda. It really does warm my heart. ❤️

During yesterday’s hike Gwen was a bit of a brat… but her big sister Alfira did not stand for it! For the rest of the hike Gwen was “policed” and not allowed to put a foot out of line.

The dynamics in a large group of any species are always interesting to see. This crew lives together as a family, and with any family they can have their disagreements. I love seeing how they work it out, set boundaries, and how the older generation will chose when it is their time to step in. I am always around when we are hiking or anyone is together like this so that if conflicts arise (they are dogs after all) I can be there to mediate. They are really a great crew with very little drama!

Sometimes as a breeder you have some anomalies that happen and keep you on your toes. Ms. Doki here was born with a Grade 3 heart murmur, which is a grade higher than we'd be comfortable calling an innocent puppy murmur. This means that she will stay here with us, receive many checkups and then eventually a few echocardiograms to see if the heart murmur is indicating anything worse. If that is the case, she will get to live her best life here. We've had this once before with a grade 4 murmur and he miraculously grew out of it at 7 months of age, so there is always a chance that this girl will do so as well!

So if you see this gorgeous girl around in videos and photos, she is just a stunning pet addition here with us! She is such a sweetheart, and doesn't let anything get her down!

Medea didn’t sign up for this big sister gig, but here she is. 😂

Watching adults manage the younger ones and teach them play, and boundaries, even in their own weird ways, is a delight. Though they are just on the cusp of being told to use their inside voices!
