Beautiful Rose went to heaven moments ago. Despite how resiliant and tough these babies appear they can have catastrophic injuries.

Sweet Rose had a broken pelvis and a severely dislocated hip that was non repairable.

As always a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wooten at QVC for always being there for the babies.

Please welcome Rose, she was hit by a car and a transferred here.
Her back right leg is useless although she can ever so slightly move it. We didn't see any obvious broken bones on the multiple x-rays taken.
She can get herself up but cannot walk. She has an appointment for veterinary care for a more thorough workup soon. She is in good spirits, eating and has accepted human contact.
She is on medication for pain and swelling.

The other 4 babies still in care took right to her, I even caught them grooming her.

These hit by car babies are very costly for us wildlife centers and anything that you could spare would be greatly appreciated. As always, thank you so much for all your wonderful words of encouragement and support.

These two little cuties came in yesterday with their sister.
She was almost non responsive at time of admittance. Likley from being to cold, got her warmed up but she passed soon after.

These guys will need round the clock care every approximately 4 hours. (This is how I do it here for my littles, some centers may do it differently).

I'm hopeful these two will make it, but I just never know. I do my best and that is all I can do.
If these little guys make it I will need a chew proof cage, meaning an all metal top and bottom. If you would like to help with that this is what will be a nice fit for them....as always thank you everyone.

These cages will provide housing for squirrels and opossums mostly. Spring will be here before we know it.

Hawk update....

Mild dehydration, gave fluids and medication for pain and inflammation.
Physical does not reveal anything alarming.
So all good news for him (most likley based on size for this time of the year, 750 grams).

He was offered a meal and depending on how he is doing tomorrow may be moved into a flight pen at AARK.

He will be released back to where he came from. So hopefully I will be able to post that in the near future.

She made it through surgery and is hopefully on the mend. She is on several medications to control the swelling in the brain and the neurological effects from being hit by a car.
Her hind end is however in much better shape as you can see. When she was admitted the only way I could determine gender was to look underneath of her and find her teats and the lack of a p***s is what led me to s*x her, the injury that she suffered tore her v***a clean off. She also had a significantly damaged re**um which was also repaired.

Two very sweet, very young ladies came across this sweet girl on the side of the road. Hit and left for dead. She is receiving the life saving care she so desperately needs. Please help if you can as we finally received our vet bills and hers will add more. If your not in a position to give a simple share of this post will help this poor baby and others like her that are admitted into our center.

Also, we (The Upper Bucks Wildlife Center) will be at Richland Townships Community Day this Saturday. Our amazing friends from AARK will be there with some of their education ambassadors. We will have tee shirts and tumblers for sale. Another great way the support us!
