Welcome Clover. A little doe fawn who is very emaciated. Finders reported witnesses saw her being dumped from a car. Idk and idc she is safe now.....she is also very bloated so we are running a stool check for parasites, she was wormed regardless with a broad spectrum wormer. She is very "friendly" for a wild fawn. I suspect she was a "pet" before she was dumped.

We ran her f***l and she has a severe parasite load . The parasite she has is called strongoloide. She has eggs inside of her bowel that each contain a live worm. This is why she is extremely bloated and severely emaciated.

A huge thank you to Rachel Mullin for making the trip here to bring this sweet baby to AARK. I have no other neonates here and AARK has several. She will be transfered so she can grow up with other squirrels. Thank you to AARK and rehabber Amanda for allowing the transfer.

Well we have good news and sad news.
I always post pictures so everyone can see what I see and what "rehabilitation " really looks like.
So viewer discretion is advised.....

Our sweet buckling who transfered from AARK was seen by the Dr. Who discovered a broken leg high up. He was in heaven at the time of the picture, so he felt no pain for the photo.
In addition our doeling who was also hit by a car was humanely euthanized. Despite being seen twice by 2 different vets she refused to eat the entire week she was here.....yes we tried all different bottle ni***es, syringes, dishes and bowls and cups. She literally went info fight mode when we tried to feed her.

So, the good news. We admitted this sweet bunny who was misplaced from the nest by fresh landscaping/mulch. The property owners were unable to find the nest to return the baby. They live in a rural area and have an outdoor cat that they took pity on and feed near where the baby was found. So, that is good cause to help this bunny.
The bunny is around 8 to 10 days old.

Welcoming this large buckling to the UBWC.
He was hit by a car. Lots of head trauma and soreness all over. Unable to stand right now but all limbs do work and nothing appears broken. He is on medication for pain and swelling. His body needs time to heal.

This big boy was a transfer from AARK in Chalfont.

He is currently out in the small pen during the day and in a controlled environment overnight. He is with our broken leg girl who was put on room confinement by the vet. She did poorly on her last splint so it was changed...she has until next Tuesday in a hard splint then moving to a soft cast.

A HUGE thank you to Jerry Hertz for making this fawntastic fawn feeder. Its hard to feed 11 babies at the same time but this makes it a breeze.

It is also better for the fawns. As much as I would love to hug and kiss them, I am forced to remind myself the greatest form of love I can show them is keeping them as wild as possible....

Please slow down.....here is the reason why....bumps and bruises all over but no broken bones.
Crying for a mom she will never see agin.....
I'm a lousy substitute for her mom and she knows it. She is confused and "alone".

Hoping she starts to voluntarily eat on her own. Forcing them to eat can be tricky.

Please please.... I beg you, if you hit a fawn (or any animal) please stop and get it help if it is still alive. This was absolutely horrific and this is why I am open 24/7 for these poor souls.

There was nothing left to do but get her to heaven as soon as possible. Both her back legs were necrotic full of maggots and shattered. Her momma was with her until she was scooped up after someone recognized the condition she was in and brought her to me. The people report it she tried in vain to follow her mommy but just couldn't. After this baby was hit she was not able to go very far so how someone could just drive away I will never understand....
