The group’s founders and members have an in-depth understanding of German Shepherds, bringing decades of experience caring for, evaluating and re-homing this highly intelligent breed. Our membership is compl

etely manned by volunteers and is virtual. We do not have offices or a kennel facility, but work entirely out of our homes. We use foster homes to care for and house dogs in our program while they await their new pack leaders.

🐾 FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR PIA 🐾

Meet Pia, a beautiful 10-month-old shepherd mix with the sweetest soul and the most incredible story of resilience.

Pia didn’t have the easiest start in life. She spent her early months with very little human interaction, leaving her unsure of the world around her. Despite that, she has made remarkable progress in foster care and continues to grow more confident every day.

After a scary 13-day adventure when she went missing in December, Pia returned safely and has truly blossomed. While she can still be shy when meeting new people, once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate and will happily seek out pets, cuddles, and companionship.

Pia absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having canine friends around her. Because of this, she must be placed in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help show her that the world isn’t so scary. A securely fenced yard is also required.

He is a volunteer favorite—he walks great on leash, is playful and silly when he rolls in the grass, loves water, and loves treats. BACKSTORY: Pia was found living in a backyard with little to no human interaction alongside her sisters. While her siblings have now found foster or adoptive homes, Pia is still waiting for someone willing to give her the chance she deserves.

She may be shy at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet, gentle girl who desperately wants to trust. Once Pia feels safe, she leans into affection, seeks out cuddles, and loves being close to her people. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding.

Hi, I’m Rex 👋. I’m a 4 years old German Shepherd with floppy ears, a curly happy tail, and I’m still searching for my forever person. Last year I thought I found my home, but things didn’t work out and I ended up back at the rescue.

I’m looking for a calm, experienced home where I can be the only pet and have a quieter lifestyle. I’ve been working hard with my volunteers and have been meeting new people like a champ, especially if they come with treats (those are my kind of people 😎).

I love my toys, walk nicely on a leash, and once I bond with you, I’m all in. I just need someone patient who’s willing to keep helping me become my best self. Could that be you? 💙
