10/19 at 6pm - Update. Sophia has a meet and greet scheduled.

Fall in love with Sweet Sophia 💗

Sophia is a Boston Terrier Mix. She is the last female we have left from the group of ladies who came in a few weeks ago. Sophia is UTD on vaccine and spayed. She LOVES to be cuddled up in your lap. Shes very sweet and affectionate. She is estimated to be between 2-3 years old.

She likes other dogs, but someone with a calmer disposition would be better with her. She is definitely a more Alpha personality. She is great with kids.

Please send a DM if you’d be interested in adopting her.

10/11 6:30pm Update - Tilly has a meet and greet secured. Bella is still available (tri-colored face).

Tilly and Bella are looking for their furever homes ❤️🐾

Tilly - Tilly is approximately 5 years old. She is a Boston terrier mix. She is very sweet. She is UTD on vaccines and is not yet spayed due to a recent heat cycle. She is good with other dogs and has not yet been cat tested - we do not believe cats would be an issue.

Bella - Bella is approximately 2-3 years old. Tilly is Bella’s mommy. They are not a bonded pair and are being fostered separately. Bella is UTD on vaccines and is spayed. Bella is fine with other dogs and has not been cat tested.

This group of ladies didn’t have much socialization in their previous environment so they are very shy at first.. but once they open up, their beautiful little personalities come out ❤️🐾

Please send a DM if interested! We have phone interview slots available for today!

We would love to get these sweet ladies in their furever homes!

🐾 DID YOU KNOW?

Lizzie Borden – yes, that Lizzie Borden – was a devoted Boston Terrier owner and passionate supporter of animal welfare.

Most people remember Lizzie Borden for one of America’s most infamous murder cases. Boston Terrier lovers may prefer to remember her for something else entirely.

Later in life, she shared her home with three Boston Terriers named Donald Stuart, Royal Nelson, and Laddie Miller. “Boston Bull Terriers,” as they were then known, were a fashionable breed among New England’s upper class at the time.

Historical records confirm that Lizzie was one of the foundational donors who financed the establishment of the Animal Rescue League of Fall River, Massachusetts, in 1913 – helping create an organization that continues to help animals more than a century later.

When she died in 1927, she left $30,000 to the organization and made provisions for the continued care of her three beloved Boston Terriers. The League cared for the dogs until they passed away of natural causes. Her sister Emma later added another $20,000 donation, bringing their combined support to the equivalent of more than $1.2 million CDN in today’s dollars.

Lizzie’s three dogs are buried together beneath a memorial stone at Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery in Dedham, Massachusetts. The inscription reads simply: “Sleeping Awhile”.
Now known as the Faxon Animal Care & Adoption Center, the shelter Lizzie helped establish still exists today. Income from the Borden sisters’ bequests continues to help animals in need nearly a century later.
That's a remarkable legacy for three beloved Boston Terriers – and for the animals that followed.

Not the ending most people expect from a Lizzie Borden story. 🪓❤️🐾
