🐾 Meet Buzz! 🐾

Buzz is ready to find his family! ❤️

This handsome little guy is just under a year old and about 30 lbs. We believe he’s a Dachshund/Shepherd mix—which basically means he packed a whole lot of personality into a perfectly medium-sized package. 😂

Buzz is a friendly, happy young dog who is good with other dogs and kids and would love a home where he can be part of the action. At his age, he still has plenty of that fun, playful puppy energy, but he’s past the tiny-puppy stage and ready to start settling into life with his forever family.

💥 TWO CATS, ONE ADOPTION FEE 💥

Meet Mitzi (left) & Tenny! These adorable 5-year-old friends are hoping there might just be someone out there looking to add not one, but TWO new feline friends to their family! 🥰

Mitzi & Tenny came to us together after their owner passed away and have lived together for years. While they are available for adoption separately, we would absolutely LOVE to see them get the chance to stick together!

So, we're making it a little easier...

They are not required to go home together as we believe they would both adjust well if separated. BUT if adopted separately, each cat's regular adoption fee will apply.

🎃🏡 A HOME BEFORE HALLOWEEN 🏡🎃

Two girls. Two milestones. One goal: HOME before Halloween.

Over the next several weeks, you’re going to be seeing a lot of two very special girls — Ella and Maura. And there’s a reason.

These girls have waited. And waited. And watched other dogs come through our doors, find their people, and head home.

Now, we want it to be their turn. ❤️

🎂 ELLA — Home Before Her Birthday
Ella’s birthday is October 14, and there is only one gift we really want for her this year: a family of her own.

🏡 MAURA — Home Before One Year
On October 31, Maura will reach one full year at the shelter. Our goal is to make sure that anniversary never happens — because she’ll already be HOME.

So today, we’re officially launching HOME BEFORE HALLOWEEN. 🎃🐾

Between now and October 31, we’re going to share their stories. Their personalities. Their goofy moments. The things they love. The homes they’re dreaming of. And all the little things that make our staff love these two girls so much.

But we’re going to need your help.

You may not be able to adopt Ella or Maura — and that’s okay. You can still be part of getting them home.

💔 THE LAST ONES LEFT 💔

One by one, they watched their siblings head home. Now, they're both the last of their litter, still waiting for someone to choose them 🥺

🎶 Recorder has been waiting for 60 days. All of his siblings have found their families, but somehow, two months later, this sweet boy is still here. And don't forget, his adoption fee is WAIVED through the Black Cat Adoption Event!

💥 Riot has been waiting for 14 days. It hasn't been nearly as long, but he's really hoping to find a home where he'll have a new sibling to play with!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being the last one picked! Sometimes the right person just takes a little longer to come along!

We'd really love to see Recorder & Riot finally find their families this week! Stop in to meet them during our business hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm, or fill out a cat adopter survey on our website to set up an appointment!

This little cutie officially ate the VERY LAST CAN of kitten wet food in the building! And with plenty of hungry little mouths still depending on us, we need YOUR help!

Parton is a 2 year old female with a wonderfully laid-back personality! She’s an easygoing girl who is more than happy to take life at her own pace and enjoy the simple things, like a comfy place to relax, some love and attention, and good company 🥰

Dolly Parton has spent her life spreading kindness and giving back, including showing her love and support for animals over the years. We can’t think of a better way to honor Dolly than by helping Parton find the happy ending she deserves 🐾

All Parton needs now is someone to say, “I Will Always Love You.” ❤️🎶

🦖 THE TINY DINO DUO 🦕

Dinosaurs may be extinct, but we happen to have two pretty convincing exceptions 😻

Meet Brachiosaurus(right) and her brother Spinosaurus(left)! These adorable siblings are everything you could want in a kitten. They're spunky, playful, curious, and always ready to have some fun!

At just 12 weeks old, these two have plenty of kitten energy to go around! They love to play, wrestle, explore, and of course get into just the right amount of kitten mischief. When all that energy finally runs out, you'll get to enjoy the sweet, adorable side of these two little dinos 🥰

🐾 CALLING ALL BIG DOG LOVERS — MEET HOSS! 🐾

Some of you may remember this very handsome face. ❤️ Hoss was adopted from us about three years ago and, due to unforeseen changes in his owner’s circumstances, he has recently returned to our care.

Sometimes life changes in ways we simply can’t predict, and we’re grateful that when Hoss needed somewhere to land, he was able to come back to us. Now our job is to help this incredible boy find his next chapter. ❤️

And when we say big boy, we mean BIG boy.
