EVC veterinarians and staff are committed to continuing education to insure the highest quality care for their patients and information for clients. Due to the ongoing situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we are not accepting new clients or seeing non-clients for regular office hour emergencies.

We're coming up on a 3 day weekend with Labor Day on Monday. EVC will be closed for the holiday. If your pet will need medication before Tuesday, please call the clinic before 11am on Friday, 9/4, to be sure we can fill your prescription before closing at 5. 💊

Certainly a fairly common event in our neck of the woods! Great advice from Yates County Public Health and another reason to keep your pets up to date on rabies vaccinations, even indoor pets. 🐾🦇

🦇 Woke up to a bat?

Safely catch it and call Yates County Public Health at (315) 536-5160. After business hours, call the Yates County Sheriff Dispatch at (315) 536-4438.

🧤 Put on thick gloves and safely catch the bat using a container with a secure lid.

⚠️ The bat may need to be tested for rabies, especially if there was potential contact with people or pets, so do not release it before speaking with Public Health!
