Hanging with my old pal Lulu and her newer little sister, Sophia!

Just some silly clips of my nightly visitors. I’ve never had skunks before! I hope I do t regret that someday!

This food is intended for the community cats, but sometimes the wild animals beat them to it.

Today I have the pleasure of tending to these fine felines, Griffen, Onion and P*e Wee.

My wish is that every animal has a loving owner such as theirs.

I hope this mama makes an appearance with her babies on her back!! I’m dying to see that!

My client this week is Dino.

He’s an 11 year old greyhound that was adopted about 6 years ago, after five years on the race circuit. He was one of the lucky ones! Most of these guys are put down when their “owners” are through using them.

He’s super mellow, and sleeps most of the day, but the muzzle is for those moments when the prey drive gets activated. He’s so used to it, he just waits patiently for me to put it on any time we go outside.

TNR Times- I trapped three moms and three kittens belonging to one of them with a drop trap. Momma’s have been spayed and returned to Baldwin, but the babies had some bad flea allergy dermatitis, so they stuck around for treatment. I originally planned to return them too, but I didn’t want to cut them loose when I knew they could be helped a little more. I’m having a little concern they have ringworm, but the more I look at the green pattern the photo, the more I think it’s something besides dermatophytes.

I need a Wood’s lamp, a microscope and some DTM plates. 😅

My heart is full. 🥰 My kind, compassionate daughter AJ Currier has been working alongside me, helping unhoused cats get much-needed vet care. She’s taken amazing care of “Foggy” and “G.G.”, as well as three others in our care.

I need to do better about telling their stories, and what it’s like doing cat rescue work. I think folks might like to learn all that goes into the $125 cat you adopt at a rescue or shelter.

🤔 I’m going to work on that. 🪆

So GROSS! 🤮

I put this food out at 7:15am and checked it at 9:45am. FLY STRIKE! Eeew!
I’ve never seen it on food before. Have you?

What’s your solution?

I can’t really feed at night, because the raccoons and now a skunk are getting to it before the cats do. I thought if I fed early, it would be eaten before it got too hot and the flies and ants took over.
