Bark Alley

Bark Alley Our focus is gentle, quality, 1-on-1 grooming care. You never have to worry about your dog’s comfort or safety. By Appointment Welcome to Bark Alley Dog Spa!

Every dog deserves a calm, trusting grooming experience with top quality shampoos and conditions made with clean ingredients. After several years away from the industry, I’m excited to return with a renewed focus on pet care that emphasizes wellbeing, safety, comfort, and individual attention. At Bark Alley, we offer one-on-one grooming services to ensure your dog receives personalized care in a c

alm, low-stress environment. Each of our shampoos and conditioners are free of toxins frequently found in pet products, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free, each selected with your dog’s health and comfort in mind. Each grooming session is tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs, whether it’s a soothing bath, a tidy trim, or a full grooming service. Our priority is to create a positive experience that supports your dog’s overall wellness. Beginning June 11, 2025 we are booking our Basic Pet Care package. Now through September we will gradually increase our services to include full grooming packages. We invite you to stop in and tour Bark Alley. We would be honored to discuss your pets needs. We look forward to welcoming you and your pet to Bark Alley!

Meet Corazon! I wish I had taken a before picture. I’m pretty sure his de-shed removed enough coat to create a mini pomsky. Such a handsome guy! Throughout his day here at the spa I kept consoling him with “awe mi corazón”

Did you know I used to own Pawsitive Directions - a positive reinforcement dog training business? Did you know I designed the curriculum and taught puppy socialization courses at Northwood Veterinary Hospital way back when. I owe my training career start to Dr Owen and Dr. Lee, both encouraged and supported my learning journey with Dr Leuscher at Purdue and Dr Dunbar. I strongly encourage every puppy and adult dog owner to follow Dr Ian Dunbar’s training instructions

Let’s talk about comfort over vanity - long game over instant gratification.
There is nothing about the grooming process that is natural for dogs. The necessity of standing still, the sounds, the feel of blow dryers, high velocity dryers, clipper vibration, standing on tables, none of it is natural for a dog. The best thing you can do for your puppy or dog is make certain your groomer is willing and able to take time to teach them to trust the process. Sometimes that means those first few visits to the groomer are more about learning to trust and adjust to the new environment than it is about walking out looking ready for the show ring.

Bark Alley is a pet dog groomer where comfort and trust are priority- where our shampoos and conditioners are free of nasty chemicals and over powering synthetic fragrances- where cuteness exists along side your dog’s confidence that the clippers and blow dryer are not a scary monsters.

Do have a passion for something you advocate for?
This is the hill I will stand on forever.

Many of you know I come from a vet tech background, specialized in canine behavior and learning theory, had a grooming and training side business, and my degree is in psychology. Most don’t know prior to an injury I was in the process of ADPT recertification and creating an encore career of training psychiatric service dogs. I have a passion for Service Dog Advocacy. It is my opinion that it should be a legal offense to fake a pet or emotional support dog as a public access certificated dog trained to work with and for a handler who has a disability.
I’m not that person who confronts others in public about their beliefs or behaviors - unless you have an unruly dog you’re portraying as a service dog to the public.
