Mini Horsemanship Ranch Adventure in Pocatello, Idaho!

Ever wanted to join our week-long Horsemanship Ranch Adventure but couldn't get all the time off work or come all the way to Oregon? Now is your chance to join Ben in Idaho for our 3 Day Mini HRA - which is the combination of 3 of our most popular clinics (Horsemanship, On The Trail Horsemanship & Cattleworking Clinic).

Day 3 of the clinic will be your "exam" for everything you learn over the first 2 days...as we will be helping a local Ranch with their Fall Gather!

A big welcome to Liz as our intern this summer all the way from New Zealand! Having been to several of our Clinics down there, she will be continuing her education in horsemanship and ranch work with us the next 3 months.

Excited to be a part of Equifest again!

Returning to Equifest for the first time since our very first event, we’re excited to welcome back Ben Longwell! 🐴🇺🇸

Originally from Colorado, Ben grew up working on ranches and as an assistant trainer at a Quarter Horse breeding and training facility before he and his wife Natalie moved to a 300,000-acre ranch in northern Wyoming. It was there that Ben not only worked extensively with horses, but also discovered his passion for teaching people.

Ben and Natalie later spent 11 years living in New Zealand, building their full-time horse training and clinic business. During that time, Ben worked with thousands of horses, taught a wide range of highly regarded clinics and wrote articles for equestrian publications around the world.

Now based in Oregon, USA, Ben continues his mission of helping dedicated students of horsemanship develop practical skills and better communication with their horses. He has taught at some of the largest Equine Expos across the United States and is well known for his knowledgeable, practical, and encouraging teaching style.

Ben’s clinics will cover practical stockmanship, Vaquero traditions and tools, herd behaviour in group riding, and developing advanced manoeuvres through low-stress cattle work.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

LAST CHANCE - There’s something different about learning horsemanship out on the trail.

Real situations. Real horses. Real opportunities to build confidence, softness, and connection where it actually matters.

Our On The Trail Horsemanship Clinic is coming up in just 2 weeks, and there are still a few spots available if you’ve been thinking about joining us.

Ranch Horse Development (not just for future ranch horses). The exposure and experience combined with miles and correct riding is what any horse needs.

Dolly is doing great. She was a little wary of the rope on the ground at first but took everything in stride.

Comment for the link to our free app where you can access a video detailing how to introduce your horse to roping!
