🐴 Job Opening: Farm Barn and Grounds Manager at Gelinas Farm – Pembroke, NH

Gelinas Farm in Pembroke, NH is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team to help manage day to day care of our horses and facilities. We are a boarding facility with a very active lesson, training, and clinic program focusing on quality horsemanship. Our barn community is like a family with ample opportunity to grow in the horsemanship world if so desired. *This is NOT a riding position.* Would entertain part-time or full-time.

⏰ Position Details:
Schedule: 5-6 days/ week, Monday-Friday (flexible). Some weekends required especially during snow events.
Hours: Minimum 32hrs/ week. 7am start one week paid time off.
Bonus: Teaching opportunities available for the right candidate with horse experience. But not required or guaranteed.

🐎 Responsibilities Include:
Feeding horses am and pm
Turning horses in/out as needed, our horses live outside 24/7
Cleaning stalls and run-ins
Mowing, w**d whacking, pasture and field maintenance
Basic repairs, fencing, and upkeep of facilities
Overseeing welfare and care of horses, doctoring as needed—including deworming program, vet and farrier schedules
Management of part-time barn help and interns
Oversight of facilities and herds when owners are away

✅ Ideal Candidate:
Has experience with horses and farm chores/ atmosphere—not afraid of long days and hard work.
Detail oriented and brings honesty, integrity, professionalism, and initiative to their work
Can work independently and efficiently
Good communication skills are a must
Is physically capable of outdoor, hands-on labor in all seasons
Is dependable and must show up on time
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Can operate farm equipment and machinery and lift 50lbs
Must be 18+ years of age and have own transportation

💰Compensation:
Based on experience and can be discussed during interview.
