It is with a heavy heart that we wish to inform you all that the owner of The Healthy Animal, Diane Dewberry, passed peacefully on June 4th after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Her last days were spent surrounded by her family, friends, and animals.

Diane started The Healthy Animal with a dream of making an all-natural store for dogs and cats. Her goal was to help not just animals, but their people as well. She had the gift of understanding both animals and people, treating both with compassion, kindness and understanding.

Later on in the years, Diane wanted to help animals and their people with energetic healing through flower essences. She was always willing to give her time to anyone who needed help.

Many may not know that when Diane first opened the store, she did an adoption program for cats collaborating with the Duxbury Animal Shelter. Cats were brought into the store for exposure and they lived in a Kitty Condo for the public to meet. Because of Diane, so many found their forever homes.

In honor of Diane, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Duxbury Animal Shelter. Please make checks out to "Town of Duxbury". Please send any donations to:

On June 11th, The Healthy Animal will only be open from 10 AM-2 PM.

🤔Sometimes, you're just in the mood for something crunchy. Would it surprise you to know your dog would also like something crunchy for a change? 🐶 We'd like to suggest these: turkey tendons and Crunchy Sticks. They'll scratch that crunchy itch!

🐾 Has your dog been licking their paws lately? If so, you're not alone. 'Tis the season for allergies! We have some really effective, natural products to help.

🐾 Progility Allergy & Immune Soft Chews - I like that this product brings together both allergy support and gut support, because those two things often need to be part of the same conversation. It’s not just about the paws.

🐾Animal Essentials Seasonal Allergy Powder - This one is designed for seasonal allergy support from the inside out. Because it’s a powder, it can be easy to mix into meals, especially if your dog eats fresh food, canned food, raw food, or a hydrated bowl.

🐾Animal Essentials Seasonal Allergy Herbal Tonic - This blend is meant to support the body’s natural response to seasonal allergens like pollen, dust, mold, and grasses. Because it’s a liquid, it can be a good fit for dogs who are picky, dogs who need something easy to add to food, or households that prefer herbal tinctures.
