Processing my feelings on our ride home without Kya in my arms. π
I know she is going to be incredibly loved and happy. She will receive more one-on-one attention and individual love than I can provide while caring for my crew of Pomeranians.
Some may call me selfish. Others may say I simply threw my Pomeranian away because she was done having puppies. But that couldn't be further from the truth.
I would absolutely love to keep every single one of my Pomeranians. But the reality is, I am a breeder, and if I kept every dog, eventually I would have more than I could responsibly care for. That wouldn't be fair to any of them.
I love Kya dearly. Letting her go wasn't an easy decision, and it certainly wasn't because she no longer had a purpose in my breeding program.
Her value to me was never measured by the puppies she produced.
I am letting her go because I love her enough to put her happiness and individual needs ahead of my own feelings.
Someone else now gets the privilege of loving this beautiful girl and giving her the one-on-one attention she deserves.
And even though I know I made the right decision, that doesn't make this ride home without her any easier. I will forever love Kya and she will always be in my heart. As of all my pups
