I opened my business about 4 years ago.
I wanted low costs so that the dog owners of Giles County could have their dogs groomed regularly and not cause financial strain. I haven’t taken a paycheck in 3 years because of the high cost of the Food Lion Shopping Plaza and my disproportionately low prices. I have considered grooming a community service and showed up every day (including coming back to work with a 2.5 WEEK old baby) just to make sure the dogs are taken care of, not to put money in my pocket. I’m not paying my mortgage or even buying groceries with grooming paychecks.
Just wanted to let everyone know where my priorities are 👍🏻

*If you’re visiting us to pick up or drop off a pet and the groomer looks away from the dog on the grooming table, the dog may get really excited to see another person and step a foot or 2 off the table and need help getting back on the table. It’s not something groomers (all the groomers in the entire world) like or want to happen and groomers do what we can to prevent it, but it does happen, it’s a universal grooming experience. No one is just standing there “letting a dog dangle” from the grooming loop. It happens once per maybe 200 appointments and lasts about 2 or 3 seconds.
*You won’t get a discount because you saw it happen.
*What you might get a discount for is:
- we don’t love the way your dog’s haircut came out.
- it took less time than it was scheduled for.
- you scheduled a whole haircut but your dog only needed a tidy up or bath.
*We’re not out here bribing anyone to “stay quiet” about common grooming incidents.

The Grooming Trailer is now parked at my house in Pembroke indefinitely.
I may some day find a location that allows for grooming and boarding, but at this point in my life with family health issues, my crawling baby, and going back to school to complete my graduate degree, this is what I’m able to offer.

Hello all,
The shop is closed. I’m currently parked at my mom’s house in Pearisburg- you drive to the Truist bank and rather than turning left into the drive thru, turn right into her driveway. It’s a big, bright purple trailer. This is where I’ll be all month. I’ll reach out to everyone individually before your appointments. So sorry for the inconvenience, it’s a learning process 😅

I’m closing the shop!

And opening back up in a mobile grooming trailer! I made the deposit today and will have the trailer delivered this week! Come June, grooming your dogs will look a little different- I’ll be setting up around Giles- Protectors N Paws, Giles Auto Body, and my house for sure so far.

I had 3 realtors looking for another location with reasonable rent and a yard and I’ve been looking for years! Couldn’t find anything! So here we go!

It’s past time to bring in those dogs in that haven’t had a bath or a cut all winter! Matted coats are painful and can pluck hairs and leave bald patches on pets or worse, cut off circulation to extremities!

I’m expecting to see quite a few cuts like this in the next month or so! If this is what your dog looks like, bring them in- I won’t be mean but we will make a plan to keep your pet healthy and safe!
