Really proud day for Divine Spaniels today at the Alamance Kennel Club show in the Raleigh cluster. In a strong five bitch class, Skye came out on top for Winner’s Bitch and then Best of Opposite for a three-point major. The lineup was quite nice today, and this one feels especially good. The day’s not over yet. This afternoon, Skye heads back in for the Sporting Group Specialty. We are incredibly proud and looking forward to this afternoon’s competition.

I walked in one last time to turn off the lights, and there she was. Ella had climbed into the puppy’s box, curled up with Jasper and little Dolly. A second earlier he was tucked right against her, then popped up to say hi. But what melts me most? These aren’t Ella’s puppies. She just mothers every litter, cuddles, watches, teaches. She did it with Stella’s first litter, and now she’s here again. Moments like this remind me that our program is about hearts as much as structure. Ella is the heart.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in with a name for Miss Lavender. Reading your ideas felt like one big shared celebration. And when Dolly kept rising to the top, it just clicked. Inspired by the incredible Dolly Parton, whose spirit touched so many hearts. Our Dolly already carries a tiny black heart right on her shoulder, like a sweet little signature. It feels so fitting. So, meet Dolly. Thank you all for the love and joy you brought to this little moment. We felt every bit of it. I know she’ll keep me and my group on our toes.
