Each time you come visit, you’ll probably see something new around.

New beds, sod, kennels, floors - all in the last 6 weeks.

This doesn’t even include the improvement behind the scenes - better conditioners (for air and hair - ha!), organizational systems, more playtime for the dogs, and more.

All of this is because of YOU!! We are constantly humbled and thankful for each one of you! 🐾

Your dog will love their next stay! ⛱️

Mister Alfred (Alfie as some of our staff call him)!

He’s going to be a great little retriever!

This session with River is all about building confidence and marking ability.

We started at about 150 yards, using a white bucket on a pole as a clear visual marker. This is NOT a blind retrieve yet — we’re running it as a mark.

Why do it this way?

Because we’re blending two goals:
• Teaching the dog to confidently drive to a known location
• Reinforcing memory and marking at distance
• Building trust to go, even as distance increases

Once the concept was solid, we stretched things out to 300–400 yard single marks. Longer marks build:
✔️ Depth perception
✔️ Momentum going away
✔️ Confidence at distance

Working on this with your pup? Comment with questions!
