Pell City Animal Control Center The Pell City Animal Control Center is a temporary home to stray or lost animals during the Alabama State mandated 7 day holding period.

Once the holding time is over, any unclaimed animal will be evaluated for possible adoption. We encourage everyone to contact us if they are interested in adopting an unclaimed stray or lost pet, prior to the end of their 7 day hold. Animals with special needs or medical conditions will be considered for adoption, with additional counseling provided to the prospective adopter. If you need to surrender a stray or your own animal the center is taking in surrenders on an appointment basis only so please call they center to schedule an appointment.

So many happy endings, all thanks to YOU! ❤️🐾

That’s a wrap on Empty the Shelters! Over the past few weeks, we watched so many wonderful cats and dogs walk out our doors with families of their very own. From excited tail wags to cozy rides home, these are the moments we love most. 🥹🏡

A huge thank you to everyone who adopted, visited, shared our pets, and helped spread the word. Every adoption opens space and resources for another animal who needs us.

And while Empty the Shelters may be over, there are still plenty of amazing pets at Pell City Animal Control waiting to meet their people. ❤️

The law establishes standards for outdoor dog care, shelter, tethering, and confinement to help protect dogs from preventable harm. Specific exceptions are included, and understanding the facts matters.

🐾 John | 5-month-old Domestic Shorthair
Cuddly, friendly, and playful, John has all the qualifications for an excellent feline best friend. 🐱❤️

Sweet, friendly, and always ready to play! Ellie is a little bundle of kitten fun looking for a home to call her own.

Clear the Shelters was a success, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone who came out to adopt, shared our posts, and helped spread the word about the pets waiting for homes.

There’s nothing better than watching a shelter pet walk out the door with a family of their own. Thank you, Pell City, for showing up for them and making this Clear the Shelters one to celebrate! 🎉
