Second Chance Animal Services will be offering free distemper/parvo vaccines for cats and dogs while BARC, INC aka Belchertown Animal Relief Committee will be covering the cost of rabies vaccines and microchips. Please use the QR Code to register for this event. ***REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED*** OPEN to neighboring communities.
*** dogs on leash cats in carriers. Also please bring proof of prior rabies for a 3 year.

As you enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, don’t forget to keep your pets safe, too! ❤️🤍💙

🐶 Keep pets away from the grill and hot surfaces.
🌭 Avoid sharing party foods like corn on the cob, bones, onions, chocolate, grapes, and foods containing xylitol.
🍺 Keep alcoholic beverages and other potentially harmful substances out of reach.
🚗 Never leave your pet unattended in a parked car.
🎉 Make sure your pet has a quiet, comfortable place to relax if your celebrations get busy or noisy.
🏷️ Check that collars and ID tags are up to date in case your pet gets separated from you.

🦟 Heartworms: Tiny Mosquito. BIG Problem. 🐶🐱

If your dog suddenly refuses their regular food but happily accepts treats, don't assume they're just being picky.

Dental disease, mouth pain, an upset stomach, or other underlying medical conditions can all affect a dog's appetite. Some dogs will continue eating treats because they're softer or more appealing.
