UPDATE - COULD BE MAROON VAN OR SUV

On October 20, 2026, at approximately 4:00 PM, this little 10-year-old Chihuahua was picked up near the intersection of Artisan Drive and Mall Road, in the area of Pressed Cafe in Salem, NH.

A middle-aged woman with short blonde hair, reportedly driving a maroon sedan, picked him up. A second blonde woman with shoulder-length hair also came out to help, but the first woman was able to scoop him up. A motorcyclist had helped by blocking the little dog from running farther away.

We are desperately hoping someone witnessed this incident or knows who picked him up. Perhaps the woman believed she was helping a lost dog and simply doesn't know that his family is searching for him.

This little boy is 10 years old and suffers from bladder problems. His family is absolutely heartbroken and desperately wants him back home where he belongs.

NO QUESTIONS ASKED FOR HIS SAFE RETURN!

He can be brought to the Salem, NH Police Department, or you can contact Granite State Dog Recovery at 1-855-639-5678 to arrange a safe drop-off.

Please share! Someone knows where this little boy is, and one phone call could reunite him with the family who loves him.

Interested in joining our kennel team? Our kennel volunteers receive complete one on one training with an experienced mentor throughout orientation and ongoing support. There are no expectations. Everyone comes in with different goal, comfort levels, and experiences. What we know is that any bit of help adds up and together makes a hugh impact! We have a great team.

ARNNE is a local nonprofit dog rescue with a physical shelter in Pelham NH. We have been in operation for over 20 years as an all-volunteer organization. Although a “small organization”, our assistance and commitment to the dogs we aid make an incredible impact. We do not discriminate on age or treatable medical conditions. We are not large grant funded. Our support comes from generous doners and our fundraising teams’ year-round efforts to “keep up with the bills’.
Additionally, we participate in community events; offer a junior volunteer program with opportunity for community service hours; and have a call line to assist with questions, referrals, etc.

A special tribute to Warren Hamlin, an incredible human who gave so much care and compassion to our community. Warren was always there to lend a helping hand. Warren volunteered for ARNNE from 2016-2025. His volunteer duties were countless…. He provided direct care for dogs at our kennel, contributed his skills for kennel repairs, was a wonderful adoption counelor, and a great member of our fundraising/event team. Some of the events he “dove into” were adoption days, the festival of trees, and the annual Putts For Mutts benefit golf tournament where he drove the photographer around to get the pictures. He was just the dynamo anyone wanted on their team!
He could say we “inherited him” from the Pelham Food Pantry where he in his own words did “Whatever needs doing. Food distribution, pickup, unloading, stocking, recycling, etc (yes this is a copy and paste from his 2016 ARNNE volunteer application). He came to ARNNE referred though mutual community contacts. His reach and contributions to the community extended behind the food pantry and ARNNE. Warren helped wherever there was a need. One of our most memorable selfless projects he conducted was related to an elder widow in the community who had fallen under hard times with visual impairment and inability to maintain her home. He and a few ARNNE volunteers stepped in to assure that the elder was safe and her dogs cared for. Warren put in countless time and effort to assure that the elder woman’s home was safe, habitable, and rodent free.
Rest in peace Warren… Bet Heaven welcomed you with a full pack of pups and kit’s… and all the loved ones who passed before you & thank you for your service to humanity.

More news on Downey's Treatment soon.. He has a cardiology consult and cardiac echo coming up on Tuesday 9/15/26. The boy sailed though his heartworm treatment with out a blink of complication..
Our veterinarian has ordered the cardiac echo to make sure that there is no residual damage to his heart or surrounding structures. We are praying that the answer is no, but we also know with modern medicine that if there is some there is a lot that can be done to keep heart health strong ;)

Our goal at ARNNE is to find each dog their forever home. Someone to love them every day of their tail wagging life.
Three and a half years ago I watched David meet my 8 year old foster, Belle. He couldn't take his eyes off her and she smiled back.
"Where have you been?" she seemed to ask. "Let's go!"
The rest was the true fairy tail ending as she got to move in with David next to a beautiful park.
A sudden illness took Belle from David last month. We are all so devastated to hear it. Through his grief David thought of ARNNE and donated a new gallon of Salmon Oil he had just bought Belle. Now it will help pups here for a long time.
Send healing thoughts to David and love to Belle wherever she is. We wanted to share a few moments of their life together....
Thank-you, David, for adopting and loving a senior.
