I have VERY big news… I won my foster-to-adopt family over, and I am officially HOME!! I have a mom, dad, and human brother and sister! They take me for walks around the LAKE that I live near! Can you even believe how lucky I am?! No more shelter kennel floors for me, I get to sleep on couches, and beds, and yes, a crate at night too. But it’s my very own - no other animals have ever slept in it!
Thank you to all who helped train me, who loved me, who took me in when I was tied to the shelter fence, and helped me find FUR-EVER! Special shout out to my fur-iends at Homeward Bound Waggin, Inc!!! 🐾

… and then there were 2. Sweet Zander is off on an adventure with a family to see if he is a good fit! Wish him well - be the goodest boy I know you are, buddy!

I earned my first (?) bandana today for being brave and getting my nails trimmed for the shelter event at My Dog's Bakery, Daycare & Grooming. Leo and I cast our bones for SAMS Stray Animal Midway Shelter bc our friend Weasley came from there. I also earned an ice cream sundae for my bravery - see that video in a separate post 🥰

Last day of Dogmanship 1 cuz foster mama thinks she needs a vacation next week… but if one of YOU want to take me and see how smart I am, I love to learn!!!
Tonight we learned and practiced polite greetings, personal space (for humans, while eating/sitting/visiting, and also for dogs when meeting new people), and continued to work on duration. I really struggled with giving mom her space at first but by the end of the night I was much better! I love looking to my person for guidance and reassurance that I’m doing what she wants!!!

I’m trying really hard to be the best boy I can be for my new family… could that be YOU?!
